I saw this lady walking around in the background of the red carpet who had the top half of her dress made out of porcupine quills. They were woven together to look like a bodice or corset. It looked more like one of those stereotypical Native American beaded breast-plate, like you see in the movies.
But um.... yeah. It's not fur, and they wouldn't have to hurt the porcupine to get them, so does that mean I can appreciate how cool it looked without feeling guilty?
The only other time I've seen porcupine quills worn before was in a movie - Practical Magic, where one of the actresses wore them in her hair to hold her bun in place. Has anyone seen them worn elsewhere?
