Does anyone own Photoshop Elements or any Photoshop editor?

If so hwo do you like it?
What can you do on the software?

I may buy it to use over here at my moms house until we can get a computer in the future.

Ashley-
You seem very interested lately in taking photographs etc. Have you thought about maybe signing up for photography classes or something along those lines at your local community college?

If you can believe me, I always look at things of how would that look in a picture. Im wanting this drop dead amazing Duigital camera thats on sale for about 150.00 and was over 200.00. I would have to buy some lenses for i though. Im absessed with photos. I have currently over 500 photos I have taken. I love photography. I was forced to take pictures at my sisters 2 minute quicky wedding. I wish I could edit them but it was my sisters camera. I love editing anything I can, but I have a min. creativety ability. Meaning I cant place colors together to make em look good, I can't.

I was going to get Photoshop Elements (recommended by one of the techies at Best Buy), but I still use Windows '98 & it's incompatible...just so you know. It's fine if you have XP.

It's supposed to be a good program.

I used Photoshop 7 and now I have Photoshop CS, both a bit more complex than Elements but not difficult once you have a bit of practice. There are lots of good instruction boooks to help you get on your way, and Elements gives you most of the stuff you are likely to need to improve your pix by using filters, sharpeners, to change background colours, crop and frame pix or to make composites. I love being able to paint out things like street cables that spoil my photos. Once you start you will find you can't do without it!

I agree, Photoshop 7 is great. I have not found a need to try anything else lately.

I got Photoshop Elements free bundled with my Digital Camera - for a while I didn't like it very much and continued using PhotoDeluxe which I'd had for a while. Then, I actually worked through a couple of the tutorials (yeah, I know - should have done that before) and I think it's great now. In fact I think I'm boring hubby by saying "Hey, look what I just did on Photoshop

I got photoshop elements free with my usb tablet and I'm using it now because my comp with photoshop 7 on it is fried and I can't find the master cd right now (i have it somewhere just am not home long enough to locate it).. But I've been using elements on my laptop and you can still do a lot of cool things on it.

About how much does Photoshop Elements cost? I was looking at some offers for Photoshop 8 today, and the prices were unbelievable - between €800 and €1,000 (€1 = $1.30). What I gathered from the ads was that it was for professional photographers.

Here in this town it's $79.99 w/out taxes

IN the next town $109.99 w/o taxes

This is something I can't wait to get. I love to photograph things and edit them later.
