Today Leo went to the Vet. He did so well... except he didn't want to get out of the carrier... when we finally got him out, the door broke off competely! So that was the end of that carrier..

He did well with Doctor Taylor and everything checked out great! He's healthy!

Poor little guy...
Since he broke his carrier I put him in the car while I paid for the visit. On the way home Leo had the whole roam of the car! He didn't cry! Thank goodness.. Leo was so excited about the outside world! He was in the back of the car.. the front of the car... In my arms .... People were smiling and waving at stop lights while Leo looked out my Window and his own..
So cute.
Its a good thing we live 10 minutes away from the vet! I didn't feel comfortable with him like that in the car...

Since he was such a good boy today I went to Petsmart and bought him two catnip sacks and a Catnip Plant! Yum!

I also bought a nice carrier from Target today. So next time we need the carrier.. Taa Daa.. All new

Leo's been kinda sore today so he's sleeping upstairs... Poor guy...

I'm glad Leo checked out ok!!! My kitties are hard to get out of the carrier at the vet too. But with my carrier you can detach the doors so it's not much of a problem. But my kitties usually get a good grip on the inside of the carrier and don't want to let go!

Glad to hear Leo is a-okay!

I understand about the carriers. Mine do the same thing. They don't like getting in but then they don't want to get out either.

Why did he have to go to the vet??
Fluffy hates the carrier as well..if she sees me get it out, she runs...she knows what it is for...on the other hand...Rocky absolutely hates the vet, but loves the carrier....now tell me, does that make since that he would love something that takes him to a place he hates?? LMBO

Glad to know that Leo is doing well! As for the carrier, I got a great deal on the new-style soft-carriers at BigLots. they can be worn like a baby-snuggler or a backpack or carried like a purse. My cats seem to prefer them to the hard carriers. For my hard carriers, I like the ones that offer both front & top access. It was really cute reading about Leo's ride home - he is so cute, I'm sure that he brightened the day for many a person!!! Thanks for sharing!
