Hi All,
This is my first time on this site...I joined because Tigger seems sick. He is not eating much and is very very lethargic. It seemed to have started when we put flea collars on him and our little new kitten, Bear. Tigger never had fleas til Bear. Bear was a ferrel kitten who brought the fleas in. I don't know if a cat can get sick from a flea collar. Could Tig be allergic? I took the collar off this morning and we are keeping an eye on him closely today. I hate when my babies are sick.

There are not many other symptoms....do cats get the flu?

Thank you all for being here. I'm sure that now that I am on this site, you will hear more from me....

PLEASE GET TIGGER TO THE VET NOW! Flea collars can be very toxic to cats and kittens and should never be used. Take the box and the collar with you and GO NOW!

Good luck!

I would simply add until you get him to the vet ( which should be within hours) get as much water down him as possible - if he won't drink then use a needleless syringe, or an icing nozzle or even a drinking straw to get liquid into him. Do it gently in to the side of his mouth so you don't choke him.
