Do you play the lottery?

Just wondering how many lottery players we have here. What games do you play...Pick your numbers and/or scratch off instant tickets? And how often do you play?


I basically like to play the mega millions game although I'm not a big spender, just a couple bucks a week, sometimes I get the scratch offs but I consider myself lucky if I win my money back! I can't pass up the opportinity to a least have a very slight chance to win some big money!!

Never won anything so I don't bother!

I usually buy one or two tickets a month, the $10 scratch offs. It really depends on whether I have a really good tips after a night of serving. I actually won $1,000 once, which came right before one of my cats needed expensive emergency care. I win my money back probably 70% of the time. I won $100 dollars before as well. Maybe I just have good luck.

I buy a ticket every saturday. I still have 5 weeks worth of tickets that i havent checked the numbers against so i could be sitting here loaded and not realise!!

I'm making sure that i buy a ticket today because no one won it last week so it stands at £9 million!!

NC doesn't yet have a lottery, but everytime I've traveled, I've played in that state, just a couple of dollars, though. Where I used to live, the boarder to VA wasn't very far at all. I've played for the millions, and also the scratch off cards, but again, a dollar here and there, maybe twice a year. So far, the most I've won is $20. I'm convinced, though ,it's not if I'll win the lottery, but when!

Me too!! I didn't win the mega millions last night but I told my mom, "I can't wait until I win my millions!!

I'm kind of weird. I want make my first million by earning it, so I don't buy lottery tickets.

Jerry and I play it whenever we think about it......oh, wouldn't it be great to win!

I've done it since the start, with the same set of numbers, so I'm stuck now. I mean, what if I stopped and I saw my numbers had come up?

My son gives me the statistics, against winning, but I tell him I may never win more than the odd £10, but I'm also buying the dream, where you think "If I won the lottery I'd do this, that and whatever". A bit pathetic maybe. But it's nice to dream.

I do mine on the internet so I won't miss a win (if I ever have one )

sometimes i play the national lottery, but dont bother that often, ive been playing for years and havent even won £10 yet
though a friend of ours played the thunderball a couple of weeks ago and won £5000

I play the National Lottery once in a while - no wins yet My Mum got 4 numbers one time, but she ended up only receiving £20!

I do play Scratch Cards and have won tonnes on it! I cashed in £98 the other week - the guy at the counter wasn't pleased at all!

Yup, we play Powerball. Earl always buys the tickets because he has good luck and I have zero luck. Not so luck yet...the most we've won is $7.

I do play the Lotto, but only when the jackpot gets big. I never play the scratch cards, because the jackpot is not enough in my opinion to waste money on. If I'm going to spend money on the lottery, I want it to be a life changing win.

I don't play the lotto, on occasion though I will buy a scratch off ticket.

I've never played the lottery, in any form. As a matter of fact, I've never gambled, unless you count buying raffle tickets for a charitable cause. One time I bought three benefiting a children's hospital, and won first, second, and third prizes. The first prize was a wine cellar, and the second a set of china - I don't remember what the third prize was. People thought it was fixed!
