Sitting here today - something made me think of Ari. I think she'll like it, but hope it brings a bit of brightness to dreary wintery days for others too. Enjoy:

Oooh how pretty!! I should MAKE that my avatar! Thanks Beth, it's a pretty miserable day here weather-wise so that definitely brought some sun and cheer!

No it's part of the bouquet that my work colleagues sent to me on Tuesday - it sits in a vase with its friends on the living room windowsill. From my seat I look directly at it - it's beautiful. sitting right next to it are my favourite flowers:

Oooh those are gorgeous too! What are those?

Speaking of flowers... your name has sweet pea in it? Is that a flower you like?

Those are Irises. I have some of the tall ones like these in my back garden - they grow to about 2.5 feet. I have some dwarf siberian irises in the front garden under the Willow tree - they are flowering at the moment and are really pretty. They're about 4 ins tall and in the yellow throat they have little cheetah type spots. If I can get some photos before they finish I'll post them for you.

I love sweetpeas (actually I love FLOWERS!) but it's in my name because Felicity (Fliss) is so sweet I used to say "come on sweetpea" and things like that to her (yeah...I know
) so my name became Flisssweetpea. I figured I'd be able to register that one with no problem

FWAN - which flowers are your favourite?

Aw I like sweetpeas. I was looking at different bouquets and I read that sweetpea bouquets withstand heat pretty well. And calling your kitty sweetpea is cute!

I do want a plumeria bouquet (how do you pronounce the word plumeria btw?), a pink and white one, but I heard those flowers don't last long.

I thought that might be it. I think that's how I say it. But I wasn't sure if it was that, or plu-muh-ree-ah.

It depends how long you want the plumeria to last Ari. We bought a fresh one for Ualani in Hawaii - it lasted the 5 days in San Francisco and we got it home too and it lasted a few days at home. The fragrance was absolutely wonderful and there is nothing more Hawaiian than that!

Oh I love flowers!!!
Those pictures are just so beautiful flisssweetpea! I wish I had my boyfriend's digital camera at my place. I'd love to take some pics of the beautiful mixed rose bouqet he gave me for my birthday! There's three dozen mini roses in it, with yellow, orange, and purpley ones all in there together! It's absolutely gorgeous and blooming so nicely right now. My favorites though are orchids and tulips!

Your bouquet sounds beautiful - you have a very thoughtful boyfriend there.
