Pat - I'm so sorry to read about the passing of your beloved Joshua. Today must be such a difficult day for you. But what is clear is the tremendous amount of love and warmth that surrounded Joshua and eased his passing.

My thoughts are with you at this sad time

Josh was a special cat who had the fortune of being owned by a special lady. No cat could ask for better care, or a happier life than the one that Pat granted to him.

You will see him again Pat, and the reunion will be joyous. He will be out of pain and he will once again let you know how much he loves you.

Thank you to everyone responding..and Hissy, I know there is much more for me in this life, but a part of me, longs for the day I can scoop them up in my arms again, call them their special silly names, and give them kisses. These 4 were so special, his gram Bookie, his mom Mervat, his son Christopher and now Josh.

Pat, your love for your very special boy shines strongly in your tribute to him. Although he took a piece of your heart with him to the Bridge, he left a large piece of himself there too.

Pat, I've missed this entirely until now. I'm so sorry to hear of Joshua's passing. What a sweet lovely boy and how achingly difficult for you. Be gentle with yourself -- your boy is whole and healthy again and watching over you until you are reunited.

I'm also sorry for your loss Pat but am thankful that you were able to experience such a wonderful soul. Our time may not be long with those that we love, but they are certainly cherished.

oh my dear god, Pat, I am so so so sorry.

I do know how much Joshua meant to you. I have not known of this for a couple of days because I've been on overdrive and in my self-centered behavior I wanted to wait until I was in quiet space tonight to write to you, instead of jumping on here the moment I got home and jumping off, that's just not my style at all. I had called Eric when I got your note, because he knows exactly who my Pat is.

It pains me to see you in your loss and the magnitude of all Joshua was to you. It must hurt beyond belief, it must be a huge hole in your heart right now. I am so very sorry. My sweet dear friend to the south hills of me, you have been there for me every step of the way and now I will be here for you, however long it takes. I want you to know that I feel this very deeply, it was not my intention not to respond, but because I feel so deeply it sometimes cripples me and my emotions, as others have said -- words are just not enough and will never do Joshua's passing justice -- so it becomes so big in my heart it just gets all clogged up. It has a lways been hard for me to be in the blue room, and I need to be better with this and not reserve my grief for when it is convenient for me, but rather when I should've been there for you. Joshua had a pedigree of the best kind: his gram and mama and YOU. Nothing can compare with that. I have often thought that if anything should happen to me, that somehow Eric would make his way to you with Sasha and Saba because nobody would care for any kitty any better than you, homemade broth and all.
You are such a powerful loving spirit and you must know that he is with you in another realm is all.... he can see you, Pat and he will send a sign to you when you're ready to recieve it. You'll see. He'll just be over your shoulder.
I am sorry this is so long because I am really crying hard right now...as you helped nurse Sasha through his darkest days, oh how I wish I could've worked the same magic for your boy. But I don't have near the blessings that are yours. You just say the words and whatever you need I will make it so.

We will all think of you when the wind blows down our mountain to the south.
Namaste,
Love always,
Elizabeth & Eric & Sasha & Saba

(Freddie RIP 11/9/03 and SiSi 2003 never forgotten).

I haven't been on the board for a few days, but believe me, I WAS and AM thinking of you and your beloved kitty. I was up at the grainmill, where I feed my little stray and feral kitties in our town and it was very quiet and peaceful there....Just me and the kitties.... I began to think of you, and how much emotional turmoil and pain you must be in, and I got so very sad for you. I know how horribly painful and sad a person feels, when they lose the pet they so love. I lost my little Spikey in August and I still cry so often as I miss him so very much. After I had to have him put down, the only place I felt I wanted to go, was TCS. Here, I KNEW that others would just KNOW how I felt. They would not look down on me and think I was over-reacting. My pain and your pain are very, very real. I know your beloved cat is now in no pain, no discomfort at all, and I have to believe that one day, we all will meet our most loved little pets again, and we will ALL be in a much better place together! Hugs and many tears for you too...

So sorry I just now found this, so very sorry for your loss of your sweet friend. Someday you will be together again. Until then he will wait at the bridge. Hugs.
