Ok everyone....I finally received my camera today! Now keep in mind.....these are the very FIRST pictures using my new camera.....and I still have no idea how to use the darn thing! There are so many things to learn about this camera....but it's so cool! I love it!

I still need to read the owner's manual and practice with it so that I can get comfortable with it. I think, overall, the pictures are a lot clearer and better quality than my other pictures that were taken with my old camera. See my other two picture threads that I just posted tonight.....those were done with the old camera.

Thanks. I just have to get used to it and all. It's like driving a new car......you get so comfortable with your old one.....that driving a new one feels weird for awhile.

I gotta get used to looking through the viewfinder again as opposed to holding the camera out in front of me and looking through the LCD screen.
Plus, there are so many settings to play with. These were taking using all the auto settings and I think they would be better if I had adjusted a few things ahead of time.

Those are great! What kind of camera is it? I have been searching for a good one and I just have no idea where to start!

Robin, you must be keeping some secret from us! Are you a famous professional photographer incognito? Those photos are very good. Up to now, my pics don't come out as good as yours. Good grief!

It's a Nikon D70 digital SLR. I've been shopping cameras for quite awhile now and I finally decided this one would best my needs right now. I'm so excited about it that I want to get out and play with it and learn it. But unfortunately, I gotta work.

Don't I wish!

I plan to take a photography class this summer so I can get better. I really enjoy taking pictures.
