Funny story - although kinda sad too!

I'm sitting here at work and my dad calls. "Happy Birthday!" he says. Dad, today's not my birthday! "It's not? But today's the 22nd? Well when is it?" Saturday the 26th!

*shakes head* I always remember him teasing me about not knowing my birthday... I never knew he was serious!

LOL. My mom did something like that. Anyway... she calls at like 8 am... "so how was your birthday... (on my birthday)" and i'm like what do you mean... its only 8 am... anyway after exchanging the same thing a few times I finally said "how can I tell you when the day hasn't started" and then she was like WOOPS. SHe thought it was the previous week. How can the woman who gave birth to me... who carried me for nine months plus a week or 2 FORGET! She's only 50... is that too early for Dementia?

Maybe you should get your dad checked out too.

See I almost forgive my dad because didn't have the pain of giving birth, which I would think would make my birthday that much more memorable!

well, at least he called early and wanted to wish you a happy day!! and he didn't miss it by too much

its only truly sad if he never called at all but its truly funny for sure!! plus, he will most likely never forget again!

Aw, I meant sad in a pathetic kind of way. Lol. It made me laugh more than anything!

Guys are so bad at dates, lol. Oh well, its the thought that counts...right?

Nearly 3! Although I already got my bday card from my dad today (lol) and his present so I won't be surprised... but I get the day off so I don't mind!

my mom constantly calls my sister by my name and me by my sisters name (elizabeth)...and when shes mad it comes out elizabridget...or bridgabeth...its kinda funny

my dad only know my birthday because it august 3rd 1983: 3/8/83 or as you guys do it 8/3/83!

my mums has been filling out forms for my little brother for years with not only the wrong year of birth but the wrong middle name! she gets my sisters birth year wrong all the time too but then again nmy sister also thinks shes born in 1989 when its 1987

Well, I think that's kinda sweet! I would just say thanks and see if he gets it right next year.

Oh bless him. The most important thing is that he cares enough to call at all - he was obviously so scared he'd forget he thought he'd get in there early.

I don't know about any of you with more than one cat, but i can end up calling Sophie by Rosies name and vice versa. This must be so confusing for them at times

Like Beth said he was probably scared in case he forgot, you know it's a man thing!!

is it possible thqt he got confused because you're turning 22? It sounds like something I would do *LOL*

My dad gets my name and my mother's name mixed up when he's flustered! I think it's funny, but when he calls me by my brother's name, nah, gotta drawn the line.

By the way - I'm going to be 23 not 22.
