Hello!
I promised I'd post some pics of my new kitty once he was better... I posted a thread here about two weeks ago when I first adopted him: he had just been neutered and was lethargic and not eating for three whole days.
But he's feeling much better now and is adjusting well to his new home.
Meet Harry...
I adopted him from my local shelter. He's about 4 years old, nearly 14 pounds and is a big mama's boy! He was really shy at first, hiding under my bed for more than a week, but he really relaxed this weekend and now he owns the place! His favorite spot is on the back of my couch, looking out the big windows in my living room.
He also loves following mom around everywhere she goes, and loves to cuddle up with her while she watches tv or is sleeping at night.
I haven't been a very active member here, but the people here have helped me tremendously. When my first cat, Mooch, got sick with kidney disease, my friend Sicy told me about this place, and everyone was so helpful with information during Mooch's last few days. My other cat, Belle, got really sick last month and I had to put her to sleep, too.
I lost both of my babies within a matter of 16 months. I was going to take a mini break from having an animal in the house, but I donated some of Belle's food and meds to the local shelter and made the 'mistake' of looking in the cat room while I was there... and my big guy was waiting there for me!!! The second time I went to visit him at the shelter, he meowed at me the moment I walked in the room... it was as if he was saying 'mom' instead of 'meow' and I knew I had to take him home. Anyway, I could gush forever about my new guy. He's a lover and one handsome dude and I love him to pieces!!!!!!
