I know I should know this but, well, I'm new to the cat world. Is she a tabby? Everything I have just says cream and white DMH with yellow eyes and long tail. Why is this color considered cream and not orange? Just wondering. BTW she is 1 year old, will she darken?

I can't see her markings to well, but I'm betting she's a tabby. Don't think I've ever seen an orange kitty that wasn't!

Colors differ on computer screens but on my computer she looks cream. A red tabby (orange) would be much richer in color. A cream tabby is kind of sunbleached, washed out red. I can't really tell by the picture because the arm is in the way but I think she is a mackerel tabby, which means she has stripes running up and down on her sides.

Thanks so much! She does have stripes (each hair has stripes on it, if that makes sense) Yea, she is definately not "orange" per se, I thought of marmalade when I saw here. Cream suits her tho as well

i've never heard of them being called cream but rather buff. i have 2 buff tabbies (really light/faded orange) that look like your little girl. females are rarely the orange orange coloring. I have one of them too though and she has lots of behavior problems that the vet said is from that. i dont know about darkening. I kind of doubt that will happen.

Buff isn't the correct term, cream would be - She looks to be cream on my computer screan but some bigger clearer pictures would be able to tell her colour, much better.
