I've never been a big fruit eater - for some reason I always thought the sugary fruit would make me fat.
Now that I know better, hubby and I are eating record amounts (for us) of fruit. We've been keeping the peaches, oranges, etc in a plastic bowl on the counter top. Any better ways to store it out of the refridge? I thought of a wicker basket, but I am afraid of brusing from the wicker. I remember seeing some hanging fruit wire mesh baskets - but was wondering if they were practical?

I'm sure you could get a fabulous looking bowl, any type of bowl, to put on the counter? Or is there a reason you don't want it on the counter? Or in the fridge for the matter, I always live my fruit in the fridge.. but then again I forget to eat it. Hmm... I might be on to something!

How about something like this:

It isn't that I don't want it on the counter - I just thought there might be a more decorative and better way to store. I love the idea in the picture!

I am suprised at home many peices of fruit just hubby and I can go through in a day of eating 3-5 peices a day!

That's great though... very healthy! I can get into fruit eating moods... but they're rare. I should do it some more though...

My old roommate borrowed one of my blue glass bowls and stored her fruit in there. I think if you can find a colored glass bowl (or even a clear glass bowl) it'll make it look fancier than a plastic bowl.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I eat a lot of fruit and keep most of it stored on the lined shelves of my baker's rack, with the exception of my grapes which I keep in the fridge as well as a couple of each of the fruits so they will be cold when I'm ready for them.
