Hi!
Can anyone give me any pointers please? I have a 10 year old beautiful black she cat (Ella) and she is totally obsessed with grooming herself to the point where she had licked her fur so much that she is now bald on her tummy and inside back legs and is thinning out on her front legs down to her paws.
I've had her to the vets about this several times - they think it could be an allergy to something which is causing her irritation (although the skin isn't red or broken and she doesn't seem to have any discomfort) and have advised that I should keep the flea treatment up regularly (which I do) in order to try and minimise the problem. The vets say that if we start to look down the allergy route, it could be absolutely anything and a difficult process to boot.
