Hi I'm new here, I live in the UK and have two cats, Tyson & Chloe who are both 9
.

Thanks to this site Tyson is receiving treatment.

On Sunday he appeared unwell, I thought he was constipated but after reading some messages it appeared he was trying to pee.

I rang the vet and took him straight away, they said his bladder was blocked and needed to keep him in for tests. They rang me on the evening and said they had done a scan and his bladder was full of crystals and wanted to operate Monday morning which they did.

I went to see him Monday afternoon and then fetched him home Wednesday. He goes back tomorrow for a check up.

He is now recovering slowly and able to pee a little.

Thanks Susan

.

Oh I am so glad you had him checked and he got surgery. I hope he recovers fast! He only looks a little miffed about having to wear the collar but I bet he feels a lot better now.

And welcome to TCS!

Thanks for the nice welcome

I'm sure I will get lots of useful information from this site!

Tys does keep throwing a tantrum about wearing the collar, but gives up when he realised it's not coming off

I also have a cat named Tyson
I just got him about a week ago. He was beat up pretty bad by another animal
I took him to the vet and got antibiotics and now hopefully he is on the road to recovery! Hopefuly his eye will get batter and he can live a happy and healthy life in-doors!

Hi, welcome! My dog Thor at the moment is also wearing a cone for a tiny sore on his ear that he won't leave alone!
