well my UTI is about gone, and it wasnt cured by the doctors and there soul, and money sucking synthetic antibiotics, but by natures gifts to this world....It was plants, and fruits and herbs that helped me and not the chemical made pills that not only cost me hundreds of dollars and didnt work, but made my immune system crash......Are doctors just salesman......
So while i was thinking about all of this I was thinking about my worst experience with doctors...and wanted to know if you all had any to share as well....well here is mine...dont stop me if youve heard me tell it before....

A couple of years ago I was at work eating my lunch...at the time i was the assistant manager at a gas station.......i reached for my drink and as i took a sip my fingers felt funny, they started going numb...the strange numbness moved down my arm and ran up to my shoulder...It was the freekiest feeling ever..I spent the rest of my shife ringing with my left hand..........
When i went home john suspected it might have been a pinched nerve, and i decided to sleep on it....when i woke up the numbnedd had gotten worse, and was moving up my neck..I called my dad..he totally panicked....he thought it was a stroke and told me to go to the doctor...........
I went to the doctor...though I did not think it was a stroke, but something was definitly wrong...I sat anxiously in the office, and when my name was called I went in...The doctor came in and asked me a bunch of questions, but at no point examined my arm........They said it probably wasnt a stroke...but it was MOST LIKLY one of two things...Brain Tumor or MS.....I lost it i begain to cry...my life could be over and i was only 22....The doctor did not console me but instead asked me why i was upset......she was very condicending, and told me she was going to perscribe me anti depressents..because it was apperant that i suffered from depression...WHAT...you just told me i could have one of two horrible conditions, and you wonder why i am crying.....wouldnt any human feel the same way...I told her i had to go outside...I ran to the car where john anxiously waited..I cried in his arms for an hour....he was shaking, but keeping the facade of calm for me....He came back in with me and they schedualed me for an emergency MRI.......we went there imidetly......
The MRI was a terrifying experience..I have slight closterphobia, and the horror stroues you hear are true..it is awful....But i got through it without freaking out and i was told that they would call me the next day............
2 days later I had heard nothing...I know no news is good news, but not in a situation like this...I called and called and when i didnt get yelled at by a bitter underpaid secretary...My calls were ignored..............
5 days later i recieved a call by a doctor i had never heard of.......He told me that there was no sign of MS tumor or stroke.......as relived as i was I still wanted answers.....I asked what it could be, the doctor seemed to laugh at me....and said there was no sign of anything, and that i was the healthiest person he had ever seen....Then whats going on i demanded....he paused....ad said "Well when you find the answers your looking for let me know...keep taking the antidepressents"......He thought i was making it up...I couldnt write my name but he thought i was making it up..I couldnt open a can of tuna but he though i was making it up, I couldnt unhook my bra without help, but he thought i was making it up..............................
The numbness continued for another week....my job suffered, and my left hand started craping with overuse....I was at the end of my rope....Till an angel came to me, a sweedish angel named marie.........
Marie is a friend of johns mom, a message threapist, and a spiritual healer...she agreed to see me free of charge......I walked up to her porch and she just took one look at me and said "You have carpal tunnel..i can tell just by the way you are standing"...she grabed my wrist and started rubbing it "Can you hear that popping" she asked "Thats the dead tissue from the carpal tunnel"...Over the next week she worked on me, she realigned my energy, and we gave eachother tarot readings....and in the end my arm was healed...and better yet i havent had a problem since....and it was free.....My father ended up shealing out 2000$ for the doctors and MRI's....But its was this saint named marie that really knew her job..........
I really havent trusted doctors since......................
I have a few more horror stories too...But i have blabbed long enough...I want to know what experiences you guys have if any...Maybe my perception is wrong.....But in anycase you guys interest me way more that i interest myself...Thanks for reading i know it was a long one...i
you guys

No problem

I have serious issues with doctors as well, to the point where after my car accident I was refusing flat out to go to the hospital where I ended up for a long time. Unfortunately that whole experience didn't help matters.

I won't get into all of my issues except the one where when I was stuck in that horrid place, and they KNEW that I am VERY allergic to mustard, proceeded to feed me a meal with it and give me an allergy attack that was almost worse than the accident itself.

Now don't get me wrong, I know there are MANY kind, caring doctors and nurses (We have a couple here
) who truly want to help their patients. I just wish I could come across one

It is really sad
Maybe this just means that we are getting it all out of the way now and won't have to see a doctor again for a looooonnnggg time

My worst time came in the OR I was having a second surgery, the first one had happened about a month ago. I told the anesthesiologist that I had recently had a major surgery- no problem I was told, it is all in your chart. Now count to ten backward....

They sliced, I woke up and screamed. I will never forget that searing pain and the look in the eye, when I sat bolt upright on that table screaming in agony. They did not charge me for the drugs during that procedure.

medicine wasn't as advanced back then as it is now. doctor's just weren't in the know, especially about female problems. i am sorry your family had to endure all of that-

About 20 years ago my mum was diagnosed with leukaemia. She is now fully recovered. During her long treatment I did not meat a single nurse, doctor, specialist, technician or any one who wasn't 100% supportive and helpful. I also have several family members who are in the medocal proffession and they kick ass too. I would trust any of them with my medical care.

i had great doctors in australia, and here also.
Yesterday i went to my new gynacologist and she was great!
I dotn think any doctor should be hired if they are only doing it for the money and dont believe any of the patients!

I dont have too bad of a story...

I was having horrible back and abdominal pain for years and was basically told, your back hurts because you are fat, get over it and lose weight...well, I was losing my mind..doing badly in school, walking with a cane and could barely stand up. I did lose weight but my problems kept getting worse. Finally a different obgyn did a sonogram and found that I had polycystic ovaries and endometriosis. I had a pretty simple surgery and life has been much much better since and I just could kill the doctor that told me all my problems were because I was fat--he was right...I was but it wasn't my only issue and I was wrecked with pain for years.

I was having problems with my low back and went to the dr and was told it was just a sprain and they told me to got to physical therapy. So I started going and when I was on my way there I got in a car accident. Right after the accident I went back to my dr and she said nothing was wrong. A couple days later I could hardly walk, sit, or stand and was having shooting pains in my legs and one of my legs was numb. I went back and again they just acted like I was crazy. This went on for about 2 months when I couldn't take it anymore I called for an appointment and luckily they were all booked up and they sent me to an urgent care.

The urgent care actually listened to me without making comments like "It's been 2 months and you should be fine". They ordered an MRI. Again I was lucky I could use the med pay on my car insurance to pay for the MRI because otherwise the other dr would have to authorize it and I know they wouldn't. When I went back to my regular dr's office they acted like the MRI was completely un-neccessary. When the dr seen the report showing I have a herniated disc she still continued to say I'm fine but she would have a neurosurgeon look at the MRI but I wouldn't need to go see him.

Before this gets any longer I will get to the bottom line. I went to the neurosugeon and had to have 2 surgeries and numerous epidurals. I'm still in pain and my leg and foot are still numb. I have to take pain meds just to be able to function and even then it's just to do everyday things.

Durning this whole thing I couldn't even change drs because I worked in the billing office of the medical group. My insurance would only cover drs in that group. I did file a complaint with the insurance carrier though.
