LOL, yes, she certainly has "her" dining chair, "her" computer chair (even if I'm trying to sit in it), "her" couch, "her" run of MY bed, "her" windows that must remain open at all times so that she can hear the frogs outside... you get the picture. She definitely has run of that apartment I couldn't be happier about it, though. This is the first time that she has EVER been so comfortable in a place. Mama couldn't be happier!

Was she in a bad home environment before?

Well, my roommate at my last house had 2 cats and a dog. They were all great animals, but my cat was so scared of the big dog and just didn't like the boy cat, Chilly, b/c he is very much an alpha cat (and a very big boy at that!). Before that, we briefly lived in my mother's house. She was OK there (no other animals!) but it was such a big house and I think she was a bit intimidated by that. Before THAT, the first place I lived with her was my last college apt. My roommate had this white cat, Kali, that Eponine hated, so she hid in my room a lot. It's kind of funny how, though- whenever Eponine sees a picture of a white cat, she hisses! She really needed an environment where she was the definite alpha cat and could feel completely comfortable. THAT is why I am so happy that she's so happy

Yeah, the cat picture is the funniest thing. I discovered it by accident. I had a calendar that depicted a different cat each month. When I got to October, there was this snowy white cat pictured (along with a poem called "The Witch", lol). As soon as Eppie saw it, she fluffed up and started hissing. Well, I needed the calendar up to keep track of the date, so I just stuck a bunch of Post-Its over the cat so that Eponine would chill out. Cats are so bizarre- but that's definitely why we love 'em so much!

Sticking post it notes over the picture!, i love it Thats something i would do as well if either of my two didn't like anything!

It looks like your girl is settling in nicely. I hope that my boys settle as well when I move in July.

I sit anywhere she lets me I love that cat more than anything; she can certainly have the run of the place as long as she is patient when meowmy wants to love on her!
