Good morning, Cindy!

1. My favorite color would definately be pink. Then would be purple and teal!

2. Depends on what it is. For clothing, I prefer solids usually. For decorative items such as my sheets or curtains, a lovely floral!

3. I have flannel sheets for the winter!
4. My favorite day of the year would be between Sierra's Birthday on July 27th and Christmas Day!

Thank you, Cindy, great questions!

Yay!!! Miss 'Of Sierra'

Hmmm...

What did you think you would be doing (at your age now) when you were a kid? (like being a mommy? etc).

Sierra is so beautiful, and lucky to have you for a mamma, especially since you are content to have her as an only cat (because she likes it that way) I am curious though... does that make you at all sad? Do you wish to have more then one cat? Is Sierra truely enough for one Steph to handle?
I can't imagine her being any kind of a handful.

What is your fave make of car, and year if you can be that spacific? (Trying for an off the wall question)

Have a great day.

Hi there, Tia!

1. When I was younger, 28 sure did seem so much older! I thought sure I would be married with children, and owning a home. I thought I would have pursued my career during my early years and now would be staying home with my children. As you can see none of this has taken place!

2. Sierra fills my heart with such love and joy, I am not in the least bit sad that she is my only child. Of course, I often see a kitty that I would love to adopt into our family, but that's just not an option. Sierra is the center of my universe and is so happy to receive all my love as I am happy to give all my love to her!

3. Probably a new Nissan Altima or Honda Civic.

Great questions, thank you, Tia!

Great answers. I've always been curious about if you felt a little 'loss' for having just one cat. Myself, my pet # is 4. I usually end up with 4 of what ever I like most. I was very happy with my 3 girls, Mystyc, Myth, and MyRage, then litte NyghtShade came along, and there is NO way that I could give her up now. Our heater went out and it's been really cold (We have a fireplace that heats our library, and half our house, the part with no heat is the kitchen (oven
) Livingroom, BOTH bathroom, and 2 bedrooms. Our computer room, lilbro's bedroom, and spare bedroom are all heated by the fireplace.) Shade has found it nice to sleep under the covers next to me
It's been 4 days now that I've had her little stumpy butt, and furry boddy next to me. She even wakes me up so I can lift the covers so she can crawl under.

So then.... Does Sierra sleep with you? Do you two cuddle a lot?

Have you thought about where you want to be when you are your parents age (what age they are now)? I'm still trying to decide what I want to do after highschool... I'm only 11 years late in coming to a conclusion

Have you ever changed for another person (to be more what you think they want?) ? (Not that you should, you are wonderful the way you are)

Have you ever found out another person has changed for you?

I love asking you questions.

I'm so happy you enjoy asking me questions, Tia, because I sure enjoy answering them!
How sweet of Shade to snuggle up with you in bed! Sure hope you get your heat fixed soon!

1. Yes, Sierra sleeps with me all night every night. I would surely never sleep a wink without my sweet sleeping partner!
Yes, we love to snuggle all the time!

2. My parents are 56 and 58. When I am their age, I hope to be married with wonderful grown children, maybe even grandchildren! I will be working because I want to, not because I have to, and come home each evening to my lovely home, loving hubby, and Sierra, of course!

3. I am sad to say that yes, years ago I did attempt to change for someone thinking that if I was everything this person wanted me to be, I would be more lovable to him. I have since learned that if someone doesn't love me for who I am, he is not the person I need to be with anyway! At the same time, it is a lost cause to think that you can ever change another person!
4. Yes, I went out with a guy who tried to change everything about himself to be more like me and who he thought I wanted him to be. All this did nothing but get on my nerves. I liked him just fine before.

Thank you, Tia, you always have great questions!

So glad that you know it's worthless to try to be anyone but yourself.
Too many people don't realize that.

Was there ever anything you've done that has changed you? Something that you didn't think would impact you, but it did.

I've always wanted to save someone's life, even if it's through donating my organs after I die... Are you a donor? Some people don't believe in it, they believe you can't rest if your body is not intact, and I respect that. I'm not sure I want to rest after I die. Maybe while my organs are saving someone else's life, a part of me will be saved as well.

I don't know if I missed it somewhere, but... is there 'someone'(human) in your life?
you said something about wanting kids... have you met anyone worth being the father to your children yet? If not... what would be the most important qualities he should have?

Congrats Stephanie on being spotlighted! I enjoy reading all your answers to the questions.

1. What made you decide to go into nursing and what do you like best about it?

2. Have you ever had your heart broken? (this hasn't been asked has it?)

3. What is one thing that you've always wanted to do but haven't yet?

Wow, Susie, I may actually be getting the house cleaned, going back to school or lots of reading! These things would most likely never have had the opportunity to take place, though, because I probably would have had a nervous breakdown by now if not for you guys!

Tia and Robin, I will pick up with your questions ,as well as all that follow, tonight because I want to give them all the time and attention they deserve. For now, Sierra and I must try to go get a little sleep before my night shift or it will be a long night, indeed! See you in a little while!

Hope you get lots of rest, and have a good night at work. I've got to get ready for work myself.

Sure could have used a bit more more sleep, Tia!
Sure is hard to get out of bed with such a sweet baby curled around my neck!
Hope you had a great evening at work!

1. Many events and experiences have impacted me to the extent that they changed my life, sometimes in a such a manner that I didn't realize until later, but I don't believe you ever go into something thinking this will change me forever. Many of these experiences such as the days referred to previously, have been put safely behind me, but have made me who I am today, have given me the ability to understand and share the painful experiences of others. A more tangible example is through my work. I will never forget the first baby I saw stillborn. Such an unbelievable tragedy. The pain in the parent's faces, just agonizing. Holding their tiny baby that never had a chance to live, the child they would never see grow up, but would forever leave an empty hole in their heart. Sierra's illness has change me, helped me to feel the pain and understand the difficulty of caring around the clock for my precious baby to whom, if I could, I would give my kidneys, my heart, my everything, so that she could live forever in perfect health. This has helped me to better empathize with others struggling with similar issues in their life.
2. Yes, I agree, Tia, and I, too, am a donor.

3. There is not a man in my life at this time. Something I have known my entire life is that I want human children, the more the better! I do plan to be married one day when the Lord feels it is the right time to bring me together with my husband. Until then, I am as single as can be...
Thank you, Tia, you always have such wonderful questions!

Thank you, Robin, just as I enjoy answering them.

1. I have known without a doubt my entire life I would go into the medical field. It never seemed to be a question, it's just always been what has interested me, as if it was somehow just ingrained in me. Because Dr. seemed outside my financial status at the time, I went with Nursing. I originally planned to keep going to become a Nurse Midwife. Once I graduated Nursing School, though, I needed to work for a while before I could return for my Masters, and as it sometimes goes, I have not yet returned. I have since decided when I do, it will be for Family Nurse Practitioner. What do I like best about it? It would have to be the drainage and secretions.
Ok, really, I have often said, with the exception of working with kitties all day, or perhaps cruiseship nursing
I wouldn't change what I do. I so much enjoy being a Pediatric Nurse. I have a rare opportunity to affect the lives of people every day! Every bit of their care will affect the lives of these precious babies and children forever, and not only the children, but also their families. Ped. Nurses are in the position to not just provide the moment to moment health and emotional care of their clients, but also provide the suppport and education required by the parents of their clients. I have learned so much from these families, and have a great deal of admiration for their strength.

2. Yes, Robin, I have.

3. I'll take the fun route for this. I've always wanted to go on a cruise!

Congratulations Stephanie!
I was out of town since the 17th and only saw this thread today.
My question: I watched Disney's Aladdin the other day so I would like to know what 3 wishes would you want the genie to grant you?

Hi, Yayi, thank you!
You did miss much, it's only been around for one day!

Great question! My 1st wish would definately be that Sierra will be in absolutely perfect health and will be with me, happy and vibrant, for the rest of my days here on earth!
My 2nd wish would be the ability to bring love, joy, and peaceful comfort to every being with whom I have contact, and in every area my life touches, to leave it a little better than when I arrived. My 3rd wish may sound a bit cliche. It would be for all the fighting, hate, and evil in the world to cease, that we may all recognize and appreciate eachother's differences and strive to enhance other's lives, not tear them down. Along with that, no one would ever do without, but would always have everything they need, that includes kitties and all other animals, too!
If I was going to have a selfish, petty wish, it would be for money, unlimited money!
I would so much enjoy being able to pay off everyone's debts and buy my friends and family immaculate new homes and give everyone wonderful gifts! Guess for now, you guys will have to settle for homemade cookies and knick-knacks!

Thank you, Yayi, great question!

Steph,

You have granted me, as well as others the opportunity to know you better via PM's and other communications. I just hope you will one day understand how many smiles you have brought to me and others with your tender-hearted ways.

I have one question. If you could change one thing in your life tomorrow what would that one thing be and why?

Hope I stumped you a bit, but then again, I think I might know the answer already

Thank you, Mary Anne, that means so incredibly much to me!
I hope that you, to, realize that every single person here feels the exact same for you!
You are truly an angel!

If I could change one thing in my life, it would definately be that Sierra will be in perfect health, never have a moment of sadness or anxiety, and she will always be with me, happy and vibrant for the rest of my life here on earth until together, we move on to our eternal home in Heaven! The reason being, of course, because she is the love of my life, and I cannot bare to even imagine a moment without her.

Congratulations!

1. What destination would you like to cruise to?

2. How do you handle the emotional stress of pediatric nursing?

3. Have you ever had a patient to die on your shift?

4. Have you ever been deep sea fishing?
