Thomas, Cooper, and Abby are all home from the vet now. They are all still really groggy. Abby and Thomas are just sleeping. But for some reason, Cooper just keeps walking (stumbling) around the house.
Poor baby is so stoned that he only goes a few steps and then falls over. I don't know why he won't just lay down and sleep.

One thing I was a little disappointed with is that the vet didn't leave them looking like boys this time. I don't know why he did it different than when he did Leo, except that maybe because his surgery schedule was so full....he just did it the quicker way instead. I know it's silly for that to upset me....but I just really wanted them to still look like boys......like Leo does. Oh well...it's done now....nothing I can do.

Here is a picture of all of them this morning before we went to the vet.

Thomas wondering where they're going.

Here's Abby venturing out of her carrier. They all have dirty noses for some reason. I guess maybe they had the tubes taped onto the top of their noses during surgery.

Jamie holding Cooper.

Cooper trying to walk and not doing so good.

Thomas trying to get comfortable so he can sleep.

Yeah...they are very confused right now. The biggest problem is that I just want to hug and kiss on them right now but I'm leaving them alone because I know they need to rest. But I want to gather them all into my bed with me and just snuggle with them until they feel better.

(I know....I'm weird)

No, you're not weird at all - I would want to do the same thing!
Your babies all look so traumatized! I remember both of our boys looking the same way after their surgeries. The night after Safari's surgery, I let him sleep on my pillow (next to my head). I woke up in the middle of the night barely able to BREATHE cuz he had been fartin' and fartin' and it smelled reeeeeeally bad in there! LOL!
Take good care of those sweethearts - I know you will!

When Tiger got fixed, he was a fighter to. He WAS going to walk around even though he was really drugged. I remember going to the vet and picking him back up...his little face was squished against the cage and he made this pitiful little meow as if he were saying, "Why did you do this to me?" It was sooo pitiful!! I cried.
He just felt like a rag doll when I held him. I held him as long as he let me...but he was determined to go upstairs to use the litterbox!!! No way was he going to use it on the towel.. hehe...he had to go to the litterbox!! What a good kitty!! hehe...

I was mistaken.....I just looked at Thomas and Cooper's surgical sites again and the vet DID leave them looking like boys!
It just looked weird at first I think since they are shaved in that area.

My vet does such a good job with that. He just takes out the "contents" but leaves the "decorations." (hope you all know what I mean)

Poor Cooper is STILL so woozy. Thomas just woke up finally and jumped up on the computer chair with me.
I decided to give them a little dinner and some water. Thomas and Abby did fine.....but poor Cooper fell down into the bowl while trying to eat.

I hope that Cooper is ok. Why do you think it's taking him so long to "clear" up? Abby's surgery was 1st, then Cooper, and Thomas was last. Abby and Thomas both seem perfectly fine.....still walking a little slow.....but good and awake. Cooper still seems so "drugged" out.

All of my kitties have had different recovery times after their spay/neuter procedures. Sandy didn't come all the way out of her "drugged" state for almost a day and a half! Diddy, on the other hand was normal only hours after coming home. I'm sure Cooper will be 100% in no time!!

Thanks....I'm sure you're right. It's just kinda disturbing to see him so woozy still when the others seem fine. He just has this "dumb" expression on his face and can't walk very good yet. He really didn't eat anything either. He acted like he wanted to...but then after he fell down into the bowl....he just kinda sniffed at it and then walked away. He also dropped his face into the water bowl which scared him....so he doesn't want to drink any water either.

I didn't give them very much food at all.....just about a spoonful each because I didn't want them to get sick. Thomas and Abby seemed like they were starving and ate pretty good and drank a good bit of water.

I hope that Cooper is more himself by in the morning. Poor little guy.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Hurray, Robin, I'm so happy your babies are home safe and sound just where they belong!
You must feel so relieved now that they're finally with you with this procedure behind them.

Aww...poor Cooper!

They do react differently. Two of my summer foster babies that I had long enough for their surgeries, Boo & Romeo, walked like ranchers after a long ride for over a day. Briar, one of my fosters this fall ran around immediately...it didn't faze him a bit.

Go figure.

Well I woke up this morning to both Thomas and Cooper in the bed with me, purring in my ear, and nuzzling my face.

Cooper seems much better this morning. He's walking better, purring, and even knows his name again.
Last night, he was in never-never land! I don't think he knew who HE was or who I was!

Poor little Abby is still moving very slow. But she's good and awake and eating fine. She's just very sore.

Shelby and Leo have been wonderful to them. Shelby bathed both the boys from head to toe last night and Leo even bathed Abby and has been very sweet to her.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Awww isn't that sweet!
I'm pleased their doing ok!

Rosie seemed all paranoid with the anaesthetic and wanted to jump up onto units, and when i went to stop her she would hiss at me
but the following day she was fine.

Sophie was a lot better!, she didn't want to be kept in one room when i brought her home, she wanted to be upstairs with Rosie, or wander around downstairs even though she wobbled all over, so it was a good couple of hours before she settled down for a nap.
