I need to first off apologize to Stephanie if she reads this post before I talk to her on the phone

Finally, after 6 years, my boyfriend proposed to me last night!
I knew it was coming soon. I actually expected it on Valentines Day, but he said there isn't anything unique about that, and waited one extra day

My ring is absolutely georgous! We have been through a lot together and things are all finally looking up for us. We are closing on our first house at the end of the month as well
I just had to tell you guys because I am so excited I feel like I am going to burst!

I think next year in spring. He keeps joking that this has bought him another 6 years though!
But I think seriously next year. To be honest though, I would be perfectly happy running off to Vegas. We can't really afford a big wedding, and having been together for so long all ready, it just doesn't seem necessary. That may sound weird, but I have always dreamed of getting proposed to, I guess I never put too much thought into the wedding.

Of course he is fine with Vegas, but I think my parents would like us to do the wedding thing... we need to discuss the details still

LOL My parents told both my sister and I when we got engages (years apart) that they would give us $5000 in CASH if we would elope to Vegas and forego the wedding.
Of course, neither of us wanted that, we wanted the big wedding. In the days just before the wedding with all the planning, we both said that they had a good idea to begin with.

If you need any help planning, we've got some really creative people here to help you stretch the budget.
And Ari just got engaged too so you can definitely bounce ideas off each other (thanks for volunteering Ari! LOL ).

Big Congrats to you! If it is any help...my hubby and I did do the Vegas thing...and had a "real" wedding, too! We had it at the Bellagio, so it was very classy, but not too expensive. I am very happy with the outcome! We had a very short engagement and no honeymoon (had to be in Texas 3 days after the nuptials) but it was so much fun having it in Vegas!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
