1. How do you custom make an avatar to be used here next to my name "ccoccocats?"

Note: I am a SuperCat with Adult Cat Avatar Options (which I don't understand why)

2. How do you make your own website?

Thank you.

Cheryl If you go to USER CP you will find the avatar

2 to make your own website you can use a free one like geocities
or
simply have your own domain but it does cost alot for a domain.

I knwo that you can use Angel Fire, Geocities and i know there are more... they just dont come into my mind

Any image that can be shrunk to 50x50 pixels can be a custom avatar. If you don't have any image editing software, just ask. I know there are lots of people around here who enjoy doing that.

As for making a website...that's a bit trickier. Obviously places like Geocities and Angelfire were created so anyone can make their own personal page and are pretty easy to set up. And you don't have to worry about domain names, hosting, bandwidth, etc.

OK so what image can I make for me? LOL
I'm serious with these questions, I just feel so dumb.

It was suggested to me to have an avatar saying I'm the Official TCS Joke-Teller. How do I do that? HELP ME

ETA, if you want to use this, paste this into the spot where it asks for a http addy

What does ETA stand for?

I wanted to start using this till you made something prettier, but I must be doing something wrong. It won't let me add it. If you want you can tell me how to make it? Thanks so much. I'm sorry to bother you with this, I wish I knew what I was doing.

Can I have on it, "Official TCS Joke-Teller"?

Cheryl.. those can be done in MS Paint... just open it and change the size to 50x50... go to Image... Attributes... then, put 50 Width, 50 Height... if you want to do a picture... post it or email it to me and I'll do it for you....

In order to have all Super Cat options, you have to have 700 posts and be in membership for 4 months.

I am not so sure I would have that wording in your avatar, whenever you get the opportunity to have a custom avatar. The picture is so small that it would be tough to see the words.

Thanks so much for wanting to help me! But I don't understand like everyone else seems to.

First of all, when you say just open it, open what? MS Paint? If yes, then what? Then you say to post it (post what?) or email it, email what?

I think I'll stick to just joking. I'm LMAO over here by myself cause I have no idea what all this means. I'm so dumb when it comes to computers.

I've been a member since July 2004 and have over 700 posts.

I can make a tutorial for you right in this post. First, I'm going to assume that you don't have Photoshop or another photo editing program and that you're willing to download Irfanview, which is free:
http://www.download.com/IrfanView/30...ml?tag=lst-0-1

1. Install Irfanview. During installation you don't have to associate it with all the files it lists. You can still open what you want without checking anything there.

2. Start up Irfanview. Click on "File" at the top and then "Open" in the drop-down list.

3. You will see a new window asking where to "Look In:" for the file. If there aren't any photos in that folder, click on the down arrow and click through the folders until you find a folder with photos in it. Select the photo you want and click the "Open" button.

4. Once you've opened the photo, click and drag the mouse arrow to make a box over the area that you'd like to make into an avatar. Note that the pixel size will change as you're dragging. You're not resizing the pic yet, but keep watching the numbers and keep adjusting your drag until they are the same. Let go of the mouse button.

5. Now you have a box. If it is positioned a bit off, right-click in the middle of the box, hold the right button down and drag the box to adjust it. This will only move the box and not change the size of it.

6. Click on "Edit" at the top and then choose "Crop Selection" from the drop-down list.

7. Now it is time to resize to 50 x 50. Click on "Image" and select "Resize/Resample..." from the drop-down list. Change those numbers to 50 and click on OK.

8. Click on "File" and the seclect "Save As". This way you can change the name of the newly cropped photo to avoid overwriting your original. Click on the "Save" button.

I have HP Photo & Imaging. Could I do the same with that?
