Ok, so after Bella bit out her sutures saturday night, they put in surgical staples at the Animal ER and put a clear plastic e collar on her to keep her from "getting at them" Unfortunately she is SO LONG. Ive sat and watched her clean herself, including that area. I haven't seen her bite at them, though, and they all still seem to be there. Is the licking a problem? What's a girl to do?? Why is my cat the only self mutilator LOL? The lady at the ER seemed very shocked that she was still able to reach them, but I assure you, she can. Help a very confused first time cat owner

You can purchase some bitter apple spray and carefully put it around the area, but not directly on the sutures themselves.

Thanks Hissy. I love her so much, I am so afraid she is going to hurt herself

Silly little Bella!
My Pippin just got his staples out and is sporting the latest fashion in E-Collars. He detests it and I feel so bad for him.
Bella will be doing better before you know it. Then the real fun begins.
