All 3 of ours like grass, and we grow it for them. Oats is the best, and 5 lbs can be bought from a feed store for less than a couple of bucks, and a half cup in an 8" cake pan with holes punched for drainage and an inch of potting soil beneath the seeds (spread evenly) and an inch over them, and 4 or 5 days will see it big enough for them to pig out on. Dont let it get too dry, keep it sort of moist and it grows better. Tip: As soon as it starts sprouting, start another pan, because our guys really tear it up.

Hi Leonard

Thanks for this information. It is really good to know. Mine also enjoy eating grass and it gets expensive buying the small packets at the petfood store.
