Please help! Something is wrong with Summer!

awwww, poor summer!! sounds like she had a rough day. But its good to hear that nothing serious was wrong...

Summer is home now!!!!


She ate well at the vet, and I will give her meds a half hour before I try to give her the Hill's I/D percription food. I can mix it with her dry tomorrow, but probably won't until tomorrow night.

Summer's scar isn't as long as Pippin's and she has disolvable stiches, not staples.

She is looking a lot better than she did yesturday! She was very anxious to come home, and perked up when she heard my voice!


I'm so glad she's home! It just wasn't the same here without her!

Her belly is bald too. I saw her washing earlier and it looks like she is trying to "comb over" the spot as much as she can, but it doesn't help much because they had to shave her about as much as they shaved your Pippin.



She roamed a bit when she first got home, but has been sleeping ever since. I'll give her the metaclopramide just before I go to bed, then a half hour later, her dad will give her the perscription food. I will also give her the medicine soon after I wake up in the morning, then feed her just before I'm about to leave. She should then be good until I get home around 3:30 pm. I think we'll keep things at that pattern because it seems to work best with our schedules.

I'm just so thankful the problem was discovered to quickly and that Summer is now home healthy and happy with her Mommy! This must have been quite a scare for you, bet you're so relieved now that Summer is home! Summer's experience has been a lesson to all of us. You are an excellent Mommy, Lacey, to have observed her symptoms so quickly and seeking prompt medical attention for her!
