The thing that worries me the most...we are out of town and I keep calling the house and my stepmother's and sister's cell phones and no one will answer even when I know they were on their way home last night. Talked to a nurse last night and he is stable. I still can't get to talk to him. I plan to go out there today. They are probably mad at me because I haven't been there yet.

Oh Candie your Dad, you and your family are in my thoughts! How frightning! Do update us after you have been to the hospital. You know where to find me if you want to talk!

Oh Candie try not to stress yourself more!. There may be a simple explanation as to why no one answered their phones?!. You can't be in two places at the same time so i'm sure they can't be mad at you for that?!.

I really hope your dads ok!. He's in the best place right now and thats what matters.

Let us know as soon as you hear something!

I sent a prayer up for your father, and one as well for you.

A possible explanation for the not answering cell phones is that they're not turned on. Hospitals usually don't allow them inside, as they seem to interfere with some of the electronics, and maybe they just forgot to turn them back on.

In any event, don't borrow trouble, rest and prepare for tomorrow, and know that prayers and love are being sent.

Best-
Michele

I wish that was true, but calling for two days you think they would check to see if they have messages or atleast keep his oldest daughter informed. I tried calling the house all last night and no one will call me back.

I did visit him in the hospital last night. He seems to be doing a lot better. I haven't seen color in his face in years. Apparently, his last doctor didn't catch a clogged vein and it got worse and worse. They didn't even prescribe him chloestrol medicine when this happened last time. He's had congestive heart failure since 1996. I am doing better but feel helpless. DH says he brought it on to himself and it is very inconsiderate for him to keep putting us through this...I agree with him, but it still hurts to see a loved one in this condition. Besides, most people that have this problem, this happens to them too.

I'm pleased your dads doing a lot better though and hope he continues to do so.
Basically, he isn't taking care of himself like he should. Which is true! I just wish he would care more about himself because it not only hurts him, it hurts the family...and me!
