This year, the plain concrete rectangle behind the house will be transformed into a cat-safe garden. I am hoping to get lots of advice/tips/rec's here on the catsite. And I do mean LOTS. How should I go about this whole thing in general? What plants besdies catnip are safe and make cats go giddy? What's the best way to create an outdoor litter box? Talk about giddy, seems like I'm the one who's giddy over this!!

Thank you

(Note: The size of the space is 18' x 14' , a blank rectangle of concrete in good condition, it gets moderate sun)

Are you planning to remove the concrete so it's just soil or are you putting potted plants?

hi. the concrete will stay as is, so containers are my plan. a friend suggested i buy an inexpensive child's wading pool (from walmart or similar) and use it as one of the main containers. i want the garden to contain a mini lawn (very mini!), hiding spots, a litter area, maybe a tunnel or playhouse, not really interested in having a water feature...... I would love suggestions and how-to's from other members. if the garden turns out to be more for cats than humans, which it probably will, that will be fine with me
