I have scores of films on video and DVD, but never thought about buying a TV series until I spotted "Law and Order - Special Victims Unit" on DVD last summer. I watch the show when I'm in the U.S., but it has never been shown here. I have a rotten cold, and spent most of today curled up under a blanket on the couch, watching the first season of the show. Do you have any series on DVD, or is there a special series you'd like to have?

I have Will and Grace, the first season on DVD. I LOVE that show! They're usually so expensive though!!! Next I am going to get the first season of the OC and then some more Will and Grace seasons...

I have the first 8 seasons of Friends, the first 2 seasons of Mad About You, the first 2 seasons of Gilmore Girls and the first season of Nip/Tuck (my fiance gave it to me, I like the show but I never wanted to own it). Oh and I also own the complete series of Sex and the City. Great show!

I love owning TV shows on DVD. I have a short attention span so it feeds into my need to watch TV but not commit to a long movie.

My mom taped the first three seasons of the Sopranos so those tapes circulate in the family "archives." My ex had the first series of "The Simpsons" on DVD and, at my prompting, purchased the entire collection of "Monty Python" episodes. I've watched the first series of "Nip/Tuck" on DVD but wouldn't purchase it.

I guess if I had to purchase a series it would be the Sopranos. I still enjoy watching those episodes from time to time.

I've got all of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: DS9. We have seasons 1-7 of The X-Files; Seasons 1-7 of Buffy; Season 1 of La Femme Nikita; Season 1 of The Office; Firefly; Twin Peaks; all of Absolutely Fabulous, and I think that's about it.

The Simpsons season 1-5, all of Family Guy, all of Futurama, Monte Python's Flying Circus, Battlestar Gallactica, Rocky & Bullwinkle (2 sets, but I don't know how many seasons is included), Looney Toons, Disney cartoons (WWII set), Batman the Animated Series...um, I think that's all.

As you can see, we're really into cartoons.

If you like Monte Python, you'd probably like Cleese's "Fawlty Towers". I don't know if that was ever broadcast in the U.S., though. A British friend has the whole series on video, and I've borrowed it several times. I loved Rocky & Bullwinkle as a kid.

The only reason I haven't bought MASH is that it's still being rerun here. That was a fabulous series.
