OK, this could get a bit gross, but we all know our lovely kitties can hack up fur balls in the worst places.

My daugher just found one under her duvet. Luckily she'd pulled the covers back before getting into bed.

Our dog as she got older would puke in the middle of the room she was in over night, and if you went in without the light on and walked across....... well I think you get the point.

So anyone else been caught out?

Sam was sick in the middle of the night once, mid-kitchen floor.
I of course got up at four o'clock in the morning for a drink of water, didn't turn the lights on, slid in it, and landed right on my bottom *winces at the memory*

On the floor infront of my computer chair, on my gf's computer chair, in our hallway, on the bedroom floor, in the living room. Once in awhile on some of my gf's clothes, heh. Never on the bed as of yet thankfully.

on my dining room chairs about 30 minutes before I was due to serve Christmas dinner!! Luckily because the seats are cream suede I'd made covers for them so all I had to do was take all the covers off.

Same with my kitties, actually they are rarely sick - infact once in a blue moon, and if they are it will be on the carpet in their room or on the newspaper which is under their litter tray.

now that we have her hairball situation more under control, she actually doesn't leave us too many surprises anymore. though, my kitty so far has puked in remarkably convinient locations...at first she hit the carpet a few times but recently she has been known to get sick in the kitchen sink--I mean, I guess that seems gross but it is SOOO easy to clean there!!

worst illness moment ever was my roomate's cat in college. she threw up IN my music bag, which was the back pack that I carried to my private lessons that held hundreds of dollars worth of music scores. And she did it near the beginning of the semester too!!!

Loving my beautiful baby girl
When Sierra was younger, the most interesting place she found to vomit was my shoe and my bed. What fun these are to find.
In the past year, Sierra has done a great deal of vomiting. I've cleaned it up from all over the house, but she tends to run to the bedroom. Not sure if I'm having the carpet prefessionally cleaned when I choose to move will get out all the stains or if I will just need to go ahead and replace the carpet. Usually, she'll announce she is about to vomit, so I get in there with the paper towels in time to catch it. Usually even then though, I can't keep the paper towels in the right spot to get it all. The most upset I've ever been about her throwing up was back in July when she was especially sick. I had returned to work for the first day since staying home to take care of her for an extended period, and was having a really difficult time leaving her knowing she wasn't well. When I got to work and opened my nurse's bag, she had thrown up all in it.
Needless to say, I came home early that day...This is a picture of her later that night.

I don't feel well, Mommy.

My cat Snoopy has always been a puker. You name it, he's barfed up, there. Probably the most disgusting was when he barfed up on my pillow, while I was sleeping, when I woke up, I found my hair covered in it. Another gross time was when he barfed up on one of my Kiss CD's. My other two cats, Shane and Simba have never barfed that I know of.
