Well, he finally did it!

As of Wednesday night, we now have the keys to a building with a six month lease for hub to put his bakery in! It's only 3/4 of a mile from home, has a fully furnished kitchen, and get this, the rent won't start until he starts baking and selling from the premises! That is a great thing 'cause we need to scrub it down and paint the inside of the building before we move our stuff in. I was a wee bit nervous about this, 'cause I do hate change, but I'm now to the point to where I'm thinking of the good things about it, some of those being, (1) when we unload the vehicle, I won't have to go up and down the couple of steps here at home, and my knees will be very happy about that! (2)I won't have to try to avoid kicking the cats across the floor accientally while carrying stuff, and keeping them in won't be such a hassle either. (3) I'll regain the use of my closets in my house for stuff that isn't cooking related! I'm sure I'll think of others as we go along too!

We got the electricity on today, and have an appointment to meet with the health inspector Monday afternoon, so probably next week we'll be cleaning and painting and moving and such, I'm actually excited!!

Oh that's so exciting Cindy! Will you still have your shoe store?

Yip, mom, dad and I are keeping the shoe store, and as a matter of fact once he gets a certain license, we're going to clear out an area for some bakery display cases there. I'll help wherever I'm needed, truthfully!

Oh Cindy, I knew you were trying to rent that buidling for Charlie's bakery! So glad it went through! I sure wish I lived closer to help you guys get it ready! Jerry says he would be the official taste tester to make sure all products were edible! What a guy to make such a sacrafice huh???

Hub met with the health dept. inspector today, nothing major to do, just some cleaning and a little minor repair work to be done before we get it inspected and rated to open!!!!
