Jealous Kitty

My Angel gets jealous when I talk on the phone. He runs into the room, rubs against me and meows loudly. Does anyone else's kitty do this?

You know it's funny, mine does that. he is pretty independent though so I find it surprising. He isn't a full on lap cat 24/7, likes his own space a lot of the time, but if I am on the phone he jumps on me and makes noise.

I don't think it's jealousy. It's more like a loving response to your voice.
My Skinny does it when I'm on the phone. QT does it when I laugh at something funny on TV. Wawa, when I'm talking at the dinner table. Finally with Joji, she does it when I'm using the walkman, singing along or taping a speech.

My cats don't do anything when I talk on the phone.
But if the phone rings, Pippin will run and knock it off the hook.
Several of my friends have reported "having a conversation" with Pippin when I'm out.
