your call is very important to us.

I swear I'm going to flip out if this ordeal is not solved soon.

I'm a group exercise instructor at the University of Central Florida. I'm certified through AFAA. Now, in order to stay certified you have to get 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in two years. You get these by taking workshops or certifications. Now, these cost a lot of $ and so I therefore do not have many opportunities to do them. Well, AFAA is having their Apex (Convention) at UCF this weekend and my coordinator had a bunch of free spots to give to UCF Rec Center staff. So, I emailed her and asked for EITHER the Metabolic Connection to Obesity OR The Wave Workout. She emails me back and says I can have BOTH. Now, like I said, I can't afford these things so even though this means I will be at these workshops for 12.5 hours on Friday, I agreed, knowing that I need them.
WELL, The Wave Workout has an online portion that HAS to be done before the workshop. I've been waiting for it to shop up on my online AFAA account now for days. I called them yesterday, they told me to call back today because it would take 24 hours to process. I have now called THREE TIMES today. All these people keep doing is transferring me to other people or I just get put on hold and constantly told how IMPORTANT my call is, only to have their system error and HANG UP ON ME.
Now, I only have this evening to complete this online thing and if I don't there will be no way for me to pass the certification for this class. I am getting SO FRUSTRATED.
The worst part is, I don't think I can call my coordinator and say "Hey they didn't get my in there on time, there's no way for me to do this with such limited time" because I had to sign a paper saying that if I didn't pass the certification I would pay the Rec Center 1/2 the cost it would have been to purchase the certification class. That would be $50. I am so frustrated I can't even stand it. These people don't know what they're talking about and I'm just stressing out so badly right now. I've been trying so hard to keep on top of this and make sure things go smoothly but now it's down to the wire and I don't know what to do!

I'm supposed to be at the Metabolic Connection workshop from 9-5 tomorrow and then The Wave Workout from 630-930, so obviously there's no time for me to work in the online portion of the class after today.

Sorry for this, I just needed somewhere to rant to before I explode out of frustration/stress!!!

Nope I didn't!! Can you believe it?!?! They actually STILL haven't called me back. I called my coordinator though and told her about it and she told me to go to the certification tomorrow at 630 anyway (after I finish the first workshop) and tell them my situation and see what they want me to do. I know they won't let me do the certification since the online portion is such an integral part and there's no way I'd pass the certification tests without having done it, but I suppose I'll tell them what happened so at least I will have covered all of my bases. That way *hopefully* I won't be liable for the $50 since I did EVERYTHING I could!

I spent 5 hours on the phone on hold over the last week getting phones transferred to Cingular, I *completly* feel your frustration!

So much for "customer service," right?!
