My cat's favorite toy is a wand with feathers on the end, though today, I tossed a grape to CJ and she went bonkers over it! She loves it! She came up, and got another one... don't know what she did with the first... probably ate it.

What's your cat's favorite toy(s)?

They got a mouse from a friend for christmas....it's basically a little ball with stuffing coming out now, they've torn the ears and tail off it, LOL. Lola lays on her back and tosses it in the air, purring like a machine.

BTW, cats aren't supposed to have grapes, they can cause kidney damage (although it's worse for dogs). Don't freak out, she'll be fine after just one, but don't give her anymore. She'll be ok as long as the exposure is infrequent.

Good thread, I'm interested in seeing what other people's cats go nuts for.

I think it's cause the skin and seeds of a grape have arsenic or something similar in them.. I thihk the fruit itself, skinned is alright?

However, that is adorable
Gibby's favorite were the little plastic rings that are sort of waffley, so they sit up off the ground on tiny feet, basically? he LOVES them, but lost them all ... proooobably under my oven.

Paige's favorite toy is Gibby, and Molly... doesn't do toys.

Wow... I didn't know grapes were bad for cats.... hmmmm.... she had two today. One time, I left the vine of the grapes on my side table, and she hopped up there and started eating the little remnants that's left when you pick off a grape... it's hilarious!

Thanks for the info... there will be no more grape giving in this house!

I bought my kitty a wand with a furry tail hanging off of it, but I couldn't get him to play. He sure likes to play with the little bag of catnip- that's his favorite toy.

Saba's favorite toy is Freddie's (RIP 11/9/03) former fishing pole, a very sturdy long wand with a huge red feathered lure that flutters and floats and buzzes around. It's almost as big as she is!

Sasha's favorite are all his bees from Pat's place. He now has 4 bees and is willing to share....

Meishka's favorite toy is.... ME. Sure she loves her feather teasers and stuff but there is nothing like a good old fashion game of tag in this house. She will pounce on my foot (hence I'm it) and I'll go after her and find her normally under the bed. I guess its like tag and hide and seek? I think my cat does too much cat nip.

Yes LOL! They are about 4" big plushy bumble bees filled with catnip. As they get older, I rub them together and this seems to activate "more" catnip. He gave one to Saba the first day I brought her home. Too cute.

For Bijou and Mika it is definitely the wand with the feathers on the end. They will jump amazingly high to try to catch it. (Bijou needs all the exercise he can get - he's getting big!)

Our other cats Ebony and Simba would go nuts over olives. Ebony would roll around on the floor rubbing the olive all over his face and body. He never ate it, just rubbed himself all over it.

I've heard that other cats have done this so perhaps there is something in the olive that's like catnip to them.

Waffle's favorite toys are small toy mice and my roommates hair ties. She'll go CRAZY for them and they are her absolute favorite thing to fetch! She also really seems to enjoy the imaginary things she finds on the carpet, and catnip.

My roomies cat Coco really will chase after anything. I think his favorite activity is jumping at shadows in corners, usually behind doors. He's shut himself in my bathroom, roomies bathroom, my room, my closet, and roomie's room COUNTLESS times doing thiss.

My mom's kitten Noel's favorite is, like Coco, pretty much anything that's moving. But she really enjoys the kind of toy that requires a person to hold onto the stick part and has a long multi-colored string on the other end.

Yosemite, isn't that the truth?!
Saba is so petite but when she wants to she can jump so high for the feathers. She's turning into quite the little trickster jumper.

Billy Bob will eat the olives... one time, we had a bunch of olives left over after thanksgiving, but we threw the bottle away, so we put them in a ziploc bag. We eventually threw them away, cause no one wanted bagged olives. We woke up the next morning, and the trash was knocked over, and only the bag of olives was ripped open, and all but a few of the olives were gone. I know it was Billy because he had the worse poops ever! EW, DID IT STINK!!!!
Oh, I wanted to throw up when scooping the litter box!
Anyway, on Christmas, we had olives out for dinner, and after everyone was finished eating, we all sat down and watched a movie, or played with our new trinkets. Well, I go in the kitchen to get something, and there Billy is up on top of the table eating the olives! I had to tear him away from them! I sprayed him, pushed him, and he still wouldn't get off!

Oh, yeah, I just remembered something CJ likes to play with... anything that stretches.... rubber bands, scruncies, ponytails, parts of balloons, or course they are normally taken away from her because of my fear that she'll eat it, except the scruncie... I'm not worried about that. She will put all her front weight on it, and then pull it up with her teeth, and watch it snap back! It's hilarious! And the cheapest toy we've ever gotten that both of them like, Billy more so than CJ, is PAPER! We wad paper up, and throw it to them, and they chase it all day! They scoot it around like a soccer ball, and carry it in their teeth! It's HILARIOUS to watch! They also like this cat nip toy I bought that crinkles, but their favorite is a wand with a feather at the end.

It seems like a lot of favorites are wands with feathers at the end.
