well the trap is outside my door and kitty seems smart! i didn't feed it this morning and took everyone's advice, got the nice tuna out and put some at the back, and near the entrance, well kitty ate the tuna at the front but doesn't want to wander in....it keeps trying to paw the tuna from the outside!

this waiting is terrible,
...i just want to get the kitty to the vet and indoors!!

i'll let you know what happens....

A few of my ferals did the same thing! They want that food, but don't want to go in to get it!

Hunger will win out eventually. You might also try KFC - some members have had success using that as bait.

Here's to patience and good luck...!

In another thread, Hissy has this incredible insight (& solution) about cats not entering the trap. It's the feeling of the wire on their paws, and you put cat litter over the wire, once the trap is in place! I sure wish I'd've known about this website last spring when my brother was trying to trap his ferals!! best wishes for success in getting your kitty caught & taken to the vet!!
