You all know that yesterday, I spent the morning taking Thomas to the vet and then the afternoon taking my daughter, Nikki to the doctor. (she has a bad cold/sinus infection)

This morning, after I dropped Nikki off at school, I was mentally planning my day to get caught up on all the things that I didn't get done yesterday. No sooner had I walked in the house after dropping her off......the school nurse calls and says, "Nikki fell down the stairs this morning when she got here and her foot seems to be swelling and I don't think she'll be able to get around on it."

So off I go.....back to the school to pick her up. I took her to the Emergency Room and got her checked out and xrayed. Her foot isn't broken....thank goodness......but it is sprained pretty bad. She can't even put any weight on it at all. They gave her a boot to wear and crutches to help her walk.

Oh well....these were my only two days off this week and I spent almost all my time with doctors......which is what I do every day when I work!

It's back to work tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about Nikki's ankle. I hope it heals soon. Is she in high school or elementary school?

She's in Middle School......5th grade. The school that she goes to is a brand new magnet school and it has three floors.....so there are a lot of steps to go up and down. It's a nice design.....but the first time I went into the school....I thought to myself, "Sheesh these steps can be dangerous with all these kids running up and down them!"

She fell down about 4 steps.
