I know I just asked for one, but right now I'm scared out of my mind! I have two big tests, today and tomorow, and I'm just sweating in fear. I need to do well in Chemistry, or I fail!

Tomorow is our History Chapter 17 exam. Plus a grammer quiz. Please! My dad said he's just *bad word*. He'd never forgive me bascially, if I get below a B in Science. I need vibes! Please!!!!

Well, I don't believe vibes will help you, but I will most certainly say a prayer!

God be with you during your test!

Awww good luck with your tests. Don't worry about what other people want from you. Put that out of your mind, look over your notes before sleep and do the best you can. Nobody can expect any more of you than that
.

My daughter's doing Chemistry as part of her pre-University exams at the moment and she finds it difficult. But, she says, the more she works at it, the more sense it makes. She says it's one of those subjects that comes together after you've been learning it for a while. Sending lots and lots of vibes your way to give you confidence whilst you sit your tests

Thanks so much!
I already took one, and everyone was staring at me when I was done, I was praying so heavily.

Your words just did wonders for me. If I don't do well, I'll just tell dad I tryed my best, and I knew what I was doing. PRE UNIVERSITY???? I'm in 8th grade....

My heart is still beating after that test...tomorow is the History test, and our teacher keep adding things to it.
I'm pretty sure there is something I still won't be able to do.

Thanks for the faith.

Thanks. I agree, dad can do whatever he wants, but I still have faith in myself.

I had to look at your profile to figure out what 8th grade would be
I don't know the US system! That would make my daughter about three years older than you. She found Chemistry tough then as well. Just keep working at it - it does come together.

And your History test- you don't need to know absolutely everything - just understand as much as you can. It's very unlikely that anyone will get 100%. Have confidence
- imagine yourself going into the room and doing a good exam - I'm sure you will.

From one former student, remember stay calm and you will do fine! I totally understand your worries but worrying never did anything for me but mess up my stomach! Just do the best you can and THAT will be enough. Good luck! Keep us posted on the rest of your tests! I'm sending you prayers!

I worked really hard, but...

Your vibes and prayers brought be confidence, and faith, but unfortuantly not luck.

I got a C....

I'm proud of myself for working hard, I'm just scared about breaking the news to my dad.

A "C" isn't the end of the world. Just tell your father it's better than a "D" or an "F". A "C" is basically "satisfactory". How are you studying for tests? I usually advise my students that it's better to spend 15 minutes a day going over the material for two weeks than "cramming" for two days before the test. Also, many people only remember things if they write them down, so a simple thing like rewriting your class notes might help.

Please don't feel bad about getting a C. You're an 8th grader taking college level courses! Your dad should be overjoyed and very proud that his daughter is so advanced and gifted.

If it is any consolation, I got straight A's in college-- except Chemistry. I failed Chemistry. I got an F! I wasn't in the 8th grade either, I was in my 20's! My point is that your C is very impressive and your intelligence is obviously at genius level.
