Aw, they're cute! You're so good for taking care of them. On a side note, I nicknamed a black and white outside cat that I kept seeing outside Moo!

Awww lovely cats . I'm so glad you manage to capture them. Fingers crossed that they are suitable for rehoming and find a nice comfy place to live.

They are so adorable! Moo looks like he's wearing eye-liner.

Coal has a fairly peaceful look in his eyes. I bet he's easier to tame than Moo. Are you getting any eye blinks from them?

Amy ~ I hadnt really paid attention about the eye blinks .. but I will now & let you know. What does that mean?? And I agree w/ you Coal looks alot more relaxed than Moo.

Eye blinks are one way that cats great each other within a colony. If they start eye blinking at you, it is a sign that they are starting to accept you as one of their own. They may also sometimes lick their lips when they see familiar faces.

Amy~~I put wet food in w/ the kitties & took away their box ... well Dygit is laying by their cage ... anyhoo ... Coal just got up started meowing & came up to where Dyg is laying ... and continued to meow & was licking his lips! I wonder if he recognizes Dygit ... everytime we feed the ferals outside Dygit & Oliver will sit at the sliding glass door & watch them . .. so I wonder if Coal remembers him from that? Could this be a good sign w/ Coal ??? Moo is still just laying in the cat box just looking around!

Our indoor cats watch the outside ferals all the time. Every now and then, Lucky (a 2 year old feral) will sneak into the house when we're not looking (the door is open for the dogs) and wander around for a while. The indoor cats do know him and there is never any arguments between any of them. I believe Lucky does recognize the indoor cats - I've seen him sitting on the outside window ledge looking in on a regular basis. Their behavior when they come face to face shows me that they do recognize each other (by sight and by scent). And yes, I'd love to get Lucky in the house for longer periods of time to try to socialize him further, but he won't have any of it yet.

Is Dygit your red boy or brown/white boy? Sounds like Coal will be putty in his paws! LOL

Dygit is brown/white guy w/ the huge front paws LOL Coal seems so much more relaxed & taking to being indoors much better than Moo.

I swear Coal recognizes Dygit! We've been putting Dygit in the cage w/ them for a few min. here & there ... but right now they all just look at each other LOL
