Meet My New Son

My experience with cats goes back to January 5, 2005, so I'm a major newbie. I heard meowing outside my door and there was an abandoned cat standing there in the freezing rain. He had a really bad eye infection. I couldn't leave him out there, so I took him to the vet and stocked up on kitty supplies.

I've wanted a pet for quite a while. Since he showed up not long after Christmas, I considered him a present from God. So I named him Angel. Plus his coloring reminds me of angel food cake. He is a beautiful ginger and white kitty with Amber eyes .

After fighting the eye infection for almost a month, it looks like it is finally gone. Angel's fur is very soft now and he looks healthy. He is a sweet and gentle kitty, but not very playful. I hope that will change over time as he recovers from whatever he went through before I found him (or he found me).

Welcome Angel and Angel's human guardian angel! Your story is so heart-warming and inspiring. I agree with Stephanie and you that this little kitty is a gift from God to you. However, I also believe that Angel found a gift from God, too -- in you!

I was finally able to get some pictures of Angel! They were taken with a cell phone camera, so they're not perfect. Still, you can get an idea of how cute he is. You can see the pics by following the link below.

I think that angel was very lucky that he found you to look after him. Once he knows that hes safe with you he should start to play. try to get him some catnip toys and roll up some paper into balls and roll them in front of him my cats love this. welcome

Yes, finally. It took over a month. He had both a bacterial and viral infection. The bacterial infection is gone and I'm giving him a daily dose of l-lysine to fight the virus.

Thank you for taking Angel in. My third cat was a stray that meowed outside our door one day and we have never regretted taking him in. We also had a time of recuperation and isolation from my other two cats to recover from an illness he had. After a period of getting used to his new enviroment he settled in and I couldn't imagine life without him. Our best wishes to you.
