Gus's Bald Spot

Gus, my very spoiled 18 month old orange tabby, seems to be losing the hair on his nose. The nose itself is extremely wet all the time and pink. Is this anything to be concerned about (he is otherwise a very happy boy)?

On some cats the hair on the nose can be very thin, but if there's a noticable loss or bald spot, I would have the vet take a look. It could be a fungus, or skin infection.
