HEY - IT IS NO LONGER MONDAY!
That has to be worth something?!?
The sky is crimson this morning - red sky in morn, sailors take warn....Guess I will not go out in a boat today

Off to the office in about 1/2 hr and have a day of home visits scheduled to make sure my elderly clients (and their fur children) have food and are warm. That will mean a stop at the local shelter for a food donation - just in case.
I hope that everyone else will have a great day. Take the time to pet a stray, hug an unfortunate creature - feed the birds, or drop some food for a feral today. TRUST ME - you will have a better night's sleep tonight if you do.

Today is laundry day, so that's going to be exciting! (ha ha) Also, I've got to find costumes for the kiddos, but we're on a really tight budget so I'm not sure what I'll be able to find. The weather here is absolutely beautiful. Yesterday we went to the zoo with some friends, and it was just wonderful. I love the fall!

Just an idea

I made this great costume one time and all you need is yarn and a derby.

It was "Cousin It"

Cut lots of pieces of yarn the length of the kid. Rubberband it at the top and put the Derby on top of it.

Cheap and easy and my daughter got second place in the contest.

Its beautiful here today. A little breezy! The birds
are enjoying the feeder and so are the squirles.
My only plans are to take myself out for lunch.
:laughing2
I love egg salad sandwiches but if I make them I eat more than I should. So I take myself out and have one and a bowl of soup. Makes me feel good.

Hope you all have a pleasant day!!!!

Debra; What a "lovely" thought about feeding the strays. . . . Thankyou!
Dawn; Lots of cute costume ideas at http://www.thefamilycircle.com Please, help the kids have a "safe" Halloween. I know you are a concerned parent and all, but people are behaving so "wierdly" lately; just be "extra" careful. I don't have much planned for today, but I hope I feel like catching up on some e-mail and Cat Site (and other sites).

Its cloudy and cold here on Cape Cod. I am home with my kids and doing house stuff today. Boring! My husband is on vacation for the next week or so, so he is around to keep me occupied! I don't know if I like it better when he is at work or at home! LOL. I love him.

I was watching the news on the Anthrax, and I just am getting too depressed and scared so I am shutting it off now. I don't even like to switch on the tv these days! Scary stuff.
Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday.:tounge2:

It is raining HUGE here. Definately a cats & elephants kind of rain (dogs are too puny for this one. It's the type of day you don't want to leave the house - oh well - at least I have the internet at work (I am working - REALLY!)

I know a couple of people who are looking for boxer puppies in Houston. What does it look like, and about how old is it?

I own three boxers and have a large network of boxer owner friends. (mostly in Houston) I also lost/had one stolen last April. A beautiful brindle male. He would be ten months old.

Thanks!

Got to work and found my desk completely covered with unfinished projects....just can't figure out who left the mess there!

The campus post office is closed because of an anthrax scare, but students, faculty and staff are still going to work and class with no panic. It has been refreshing to see how mature the students have been during this crisis.

My husband should call any minute to say he is ready to head home. It is my night to cook, so I'm not as eager to leave as when it is his night to cook.

TLK - Thanks for your concern! We are going to be spending Halloween at church. We're having a Fall Festival for the kids, and it's going to be a great time! The kids are so excited. And it'll be safe too. We're only using candy donated by church members so that will help with the safety too.

Amaretto - What's a derby?

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Unfortunately, I didn't get back on the site till after I bought them some costumes. It's amazing what people want for Halloween costumes! I did pretty well though. Adam is going to be a dinosaur and Amy is going to be an angel. They are so, so, so excited!
