My bf found these at walmart and he absolutely loves them. He used to eat these while he lived in canada.
Each time we open the pack Teufel keeps running to him.

I was just wondering if you people like it??

I used to when I was a kid, but I'm vegetarian so I don't eat it anymore. My grandma used to make it herself and it was much better than the store bought stuff.

My husband and I buy vegetarian "jerky" every now and again. It's not too bad.

My Mother has her own meat smoking business... and I swear, she makes the BEST, most flavorful beef jerky there is. I'm not saying that because I am biased.. she truely is awesome at it. She also makes smoked salmon that just about melts in your mouth!! She also smokes chickens as well.

fwan,

A mod moved the other thread off the board. It was clear that it was meant to be a poll, but it didn't come out as a poll.

But I rarely eat store bought beef jerky, preferring to make my own

Puerto Rico... land of rice and beans.
I love beef jerky, I love it, I love it, I love it. When we would travel to the states I would be constantly buying packages of it. But its so hard to buy it down here.... not to mention it costs an awful lot more here...

It's dried/dehydrated meat that's been flavored. My grandma used to marinade it and then dehydrate it. I'm guessing the store-bought kind is made similarly, but I don't know.

I use a food dehydrator, and due to my dietary needs, use a recipe without any sugars or soy sauce etc. I use eye round beef as the meat.
