Thank you Tia. She is missed by her three doggie pals, Jazz, Melody & Zeppelin but they don't seem any different. Do dogs experience grief? Thanks again.

I am sorry you had to make that final decision for beautiful Soul. Knowing that it is the right thing doesnt make it any easier though does it.
Remember all those good and happy times you had together, look at the photos often and smile. Soul is still with you and always will be.

Aww Sam - I'm so sorry to hear about Soul. It's a really hard decision to make, but one that is only done with a heart full of love for Soul. We had to make that same decision when I was 16 for the kitty who had been there all my life and I know how difficult it is.

Keep all the wonderful times you spent together in your heart and it will help to ease your sadness

Aw sam, I dont come to this part of TCS very often.
You just brought a tear to my eye.
I remember back in 2001 I had to put our lovely King charles Cavalier Who was 12 years old down at the RSPCA.
My dad couldnt handle it anymore, the dog was sick had many problems and lost appetite. He only wanted to eat Smackos. He got alot of it, especially that day that he pooed all over our new carpet. He seemed so weak, and as soon as he got to the vet he seemed all alive again. My dad cried as the needle went in.
My mother ran outside screaming Hysterically. Everyone knew what was happening. I seriously dont remember how we got home.
But it was dead. no more dog, the cats wondered why we came home with out him.
But we do still have him, Not only in our hearts but In ashes in a box next to the tv, So my dad can always watch him.

Sam, I'm sorry for your loss...From what I can tell, you gave Soul a happy long life filled with true friendship and love. I'm happy you had such a wonderful friend in your life and I hope you are comforted until the day you see Soul again.
