Well, I think we all know that Tanya will be.

Just wondering who else is gearing up for the big game?

We always make a big thing for the Superbowl, get munchies and stuff we wouldn't usually get, make a big dinner, and get it all set up well before the game begins. I mean - we couldn't miss the commercials to go get something to eat!

I love SuperBowl parties. Food, Beer, funny commercials, friends & fun!

If we don't go to someone else's house for a Bowl party, then the party will be at MY house!

actually, my husband is a super-duper big patriots fan... and unfortunatley for him... he is deployed, so as a faithful military wife, i will be stationed right in front of the television on superbowl day... for myself, to watch the commercials, for him, so i can give him details of the game

Of course you're all welcome to join us!
The only thing that I know for sure that we're having is a teriyaki pork loin.
We still have to do our shopping for the rest of it.

Elizabeth, as much as I hate going against my Division (Broncos fan here
) I think the Pats are going to whup up on the Eagles. They just quietly dominated the AFC, and I really don't think that the NFC has what it takes to beat them. My prediction is that the Eagles may keep it within reaching distance in the first half, but the Pats will put it away by the end of the 3rd Quarter. So, sure, I'll take your
500 wager!

I love football. As a Steelers fan, I should probably be for the Eagles, but I do like the Patriots, too. It would be nice fot the Eagles to finally win, but I have my doubts. Keeping that quiet, since hubby and best friend are both Eagles fans!

If I am not in labour then I will watch. Problem is in Canada we don't get all the cool expensive American commercials - we get Canadian feed.

I'll be watching!!!! I don't follow a particular team in American Football (well not one that's in the Superbowl this year anyway!!) - but I do watch the Superbowl. But because it's on late here (usually kicks off about 11 pm), I normally watch the first half then video the rest - I have to go to work on Monday you know
. So I avoid the TV like the plague on Monday - then watch the second half when I get home.

I'm a St. Louis fan, but, I'm rooting for Philly. We are having a party with all my dad's friends, and my bro-in-law's friend, and all my family. It'll be fun. We are decorating half the room in green and silver, and the other half in red, white, and blue!

This year I probably will, despite the time difference. Coming from Philly, I feel almost obligated to, and I have Monday and Tuesday off because of Fasching (Carnival/Mardi Gras), so I can stay up as long as I want.

It's sort of the American equivalent of the European Football (Soccer) Championship, but the fans are nowhere near as rabid, i.e., you don't get the "hooligans".

We have basic cable - 32 channels, and nothing on! That's why I'm here so much.

WE bought this new tv thing that you just plug into your USB and the screen becomes your TV and we had a remotecontroll and everything.
Untill a virus came on my computer and it wouldnt work anymore. Then we needed the money so we returned it. but this store called
Mad American Discounts wouldnt give us the money back and just gave us a "gutschein" which we had to buy other things from the shop instead!
Now i cant watch supernany and those redecorating people and viva
