A million dollar question......

Would you donate a kidney to a stranger for a price?

If I learned I had a rare match for someone in desparate need of a kidney transplant, I would gladly donate one of my own, but not for a price, rather for the life I was helping to prolong and the many lives that would be touched by this person's health and survival.
Friends and family, without even a moment's hessitation.

Well, for me, that's two questions.

First I have to decide whether I would donate a kidney to a stranger. I don't reject the thought out of hand, but there'd have to be a reason why it needed to be my kidney -- obviously compatibility and urgency come to mind, and if it were mine, now, or the person runs out of time, then I probably would. For friends or family, it would be a no-brainer.

Then there's the question of price. It would certainly not be a question of making a profit out of it, but depending on the circumstances -- mine and that person's -- I might want compensation for lost income. If we were both Ok financially, I might, instead of taking the cash, ask the person to donate it to a charity in my name. For friends or family, no price, though if they insisted, I'd tell them to do the latter.

I would for a friend or family member, and if the stranger was someone who really deserved it, then yeah. If that stranger was some pot-head or druggie or evil person, then no, I'd not waste a perfectly good organ on them!

if something horrible happened and I wasn't able to take care of my kids or my mom needed an operation or something and i desperately needed money I would definitely consider it, but not just to have some extra money. But I would prefer to save my kidney incase someone in my family would need one.

Friends or family-the thought doesnt scare me a bit, Id do it in a heartbeat
strangers-circumstances depend,,but horrible though it sounds, I would prob want to make a profit from it although if I actually heard the story of the person who needed it Im a mush pot and would probably then do it for free.

probably not. I would want to save it for family or friends in the case they need. I don't believe in the sale of organs. I would donate it to a loved one.

hmm i dont know i would save it for my self or for my own family, But if i were to be a lonely loser with no family then i would sell it? Only if they need it and most likely to a child.
Dont get me wrong but why donate it to a full adult who has experienced life so much and not to a child who hasnt at all.

But now im having doubts of my fertility.
i think i would break down to know i couldnt have kids?
