This was too funny for words. I was in the bath and left the door open as the cats usually love to come and sit on the edge or on the laundry basket and even dip their paws in the water. They were doing this when it turned into a chase game, with Ellie running after Persil. They rushed out and I heard them creating havoc in the living room, then suddenly Persil flew into the bathroom, jumped onto the bath, overshot it and landed in the water! Fortunately it was not too hot by then. She was very good and didn't go mad and scratch me while trying to get out, but I picked her up and put her on the floor at once. Her expression had to be seen to be believed, but Ellie, who followed her into the bathroom, also looked surprised at her sister who had disappeared over the edge of the bath and reappeared all wet!

Stormy's done that before! The door was open with the water running when suddenly I hear a whole lot of splashing! I ran in ther just as she finally made her way out of the tub soaking wet!

My boycats are interested in water, bathrooms, toilets, sinks. All three of them accompany me every single morning into the bathroom (or if they are late: Hammie opens the door himself, he can turn doorknobs with his paws). They like to lay around on that shag rug & listen to the shower. During those rare times when I can actually relax in a bath (I have a kid; therefore I don't get to relax much), the cats of course just have to come in and watch, all paws-perched at the edge, the bubbles and water and such. The funnest thing to watch is after the tub has drained, Hammie will get in there and lick the water from the bath.

He did jump in once... when he was a kitten... but not during a bath... it was during one of my showers!!! It was at my old place, we only had a shower curtain, and he pawed his way past it and just joined me in the shower! When he was a kitten he could NOT stand to be away from me... it was funny cuz he jumped in and immediately lurched back out. Kitties.

Bakker almost fell in earlier this week. Persil must be making up for lost time when she was so sick (its a good thing!)

Wouldn't it have been great to get a picture of Persil's expression after she fell in? We have a little pond (more like a big puddle) in our backyard, and Jamie loves to slide on it when it's frozen. We had 12 days of frigid temperatures and snow, but today it warmed up a bit and thawed. Jamie wanted to go through his usual "ice skating routine" during his afternoon walk today, and the ice broke under him. I could've kicked myself for not having the camera ready. He was extremely put out - how dare the ice thaw! It's wonderful to hear that Persil is running and jumping around - she definitely got two new leases on life - the first time when you took her in, and the second when you and the vet opted for surgery instead of euthanasia. She's a very special cat!

I can just imagine it! Aww, priceless!
QT had a similar experience. She fell in the pool while chasing a bat. This was at night so it wasn't a bird. Aren't they so silly?
