Sasha Schwartzeneggar~~!!Oh my!

Sasha got out!! Those who know that after the coyote mauling we bring Sasha in at dusk every day. Well, lately here it has been in the low 60's (January!) and very, very warm and dry....moonlit nights...perfect coyote weather. I'll admit I've been more on guard in the evenings..... So I was horrified when I came down from my bath tonight and Sasha had gone through the inner cat door to the garage (which he's allowed to do) BUT he managed to get out through the sealed outer kitty door. He literally moved two 5 lb weights stacked in front of the flap!!! and pulled the duct tape off of the wall which sealed the door and then, he managed to unlock the door and get outside it, as we inverted it so it would only open to the inside. Getting through all these obtasctles was Hurculean!!! OMG! That's 10 lbs of weight, very stong duct tape, and wedging himself through a flap that doesn't open to the outside!!! He is home now and we're just dumbfounded! I think he wanted to remind us how strong he is for almost 13. SHEEESH!

I am glad to hear Sasha is back home and safe!! It's amazing what they can do when they set their minds to it!!! lol

Have you thought of what you are going to do now that your little Houdini has foiled your trap?

Gee I think something is in the wind....glad he's home, I have my almost 18 year old springing vertical jumps like you wouldn't believe because he was determined to get on my lap (he didn't care I had a cuppa hot tea).

Whoa!! I am relieved that Super Sasha came back home ... It is probably the prospect of Spring coming that makes cats do these wierd things .

Glad Sasha is home safe and sound! The way he moved those 5lbs weights it seems like the coyotes are the lucky ones!

sasha is a real life hercules, especially after all he's been through! my cats so lazy i doubt she would have bothered once she saw the 5lb weight. would have gone and had a nap instead!

That is one determined cat!!! I remember WAY................. back when Ox came into my household as a just neutered 2 yr old. I put him in the other garage and put that wood thing that slides over the flap. I remember that I heard cat fighting that nite and was glad Ox (who wasn't named Ox yet) was inside. I thought I'd check on him and he pushed that wood thing off and got outside. Here he was new to us but outside!!! I don't remember how I got him back inside. But I put that flap back on stacked cinder blocks and wood in front of that opening!! And renamed him Ox as he was so strong!!! So any gray hair after that episode????????

Goodness gracious Katie, I agree! after this Houdini escape, we moved a big, heavy box in front of the outdoor flap. Now if he moves that, well.........

Oh boy!!! I bet that was scary until he came back!!!!!
