HI im new here and just wondered if any one has the ferral cats they catch tatoo'd during the spay/nueter surgery?

I have found it easy to Identify the cats as I retrap them for check up's/newbie's or keeping track of those caught and sent to the shelter I work at and those who are adopted out.

I volunteer with the Alley Cat Allies spay/neuter clinic and we ear tip the ferals. A small piece of the left ear is removed.

Yep- I don't tattoo anymore, I have the vet do ear-tipping. That is the easiest way to keep track of the vet cats. If you tattoo, you still have to re-trap the cats to see the tattoos, even inside the ear, eventually the hair grows over to cover it. The left ear gets tipped.
