Tattoos or Piercings??

I have 2 piercings in my left eyebrow and my left nostril. I took aout the one in my tongue and my labret because they were so aggravating.
Tattoos, I have about 40% of my body covered. One of my favorites it a grey tabby kitty head with a collar of flowers. I have most of both calves, the outside upper arms, my whole back, and the outside of both thighs mostly covered. If I wear my usual jeans and t-shirt, none of them are visible. I love them, but I choose when and where to display them.
Tattoos and piercings are definitely not for everyone. If they were, those of us that have them wouldn't like them nearly as much!

I had a first and second hole in my ears that i almost never wear earrings i. I used to have two cartiledge piercings as well but I have since taken those out. Last summer I got my tragus pierced (the little knobby part of your ear) and I still do have that ring in. I like it cause its different.
As for tattos. I do have 1. I agree with Malakai. I wanted one that had some personal meaning so I got the Pisces symbol on my lower back. I still do like it and its in a place that it can be covered for professional reasons. Will I get another? Probably not.
Ari -- My parents found out too quickly about my tattoos. I wasn't planning on telling them because I knew they'd be dissapointed. But my mom found out anyways. it was a BIG deal for awhile. But its pretty much settled now.

I have neither piercings or tattoos. However, being in the medical field for over 20 years, I have seen both tats and piercings in VERY interesting places on/in the human body. If you are interested on knowing what and where, PM me and I will tell you.
I have a butterfly tattoo on my left ankle, and I'm planning on getting another one on my back (not sure where). I have the standard ear piercing and another one on the top right part of my ear.
Really? I got my only visible tattoo nearly 2 years ago and they still don't know. It's quite a hassle to not bend over carelessly around them and to watch what I wear but they still don't know. I'd rather them not know for a few more years... maybe when I'm married and am officially independent I'll tell them (right now I think they still consider me a child at 22, how sad).
I have 13 piercings... 5 in my right ear and 6 in my left ear, my tongue and belly button. Then I have dolphins forming a heart below my panty line in the front cuz I loooove dolphins :-o and an ankh in a tribal sun on my lower back, it is a symbol of the meaning of my name which means rebirth/eternal life. I'd like to get another one .. a bracelet...
The funny thing is my mom would rather me take out my tongue ring over not get any more tattoos. lol
Why do you think they are gross? Some of the tattoo artists I've met make very beautiful art work.

I know the feeling, Ari.. I'm 23 and my father treats me like a child... thats why I'm working so hard to get a job and get a place of my own... I can't deal with him telling me what to do... but at least all you're hiding from them is a couple of tattoos... I'm hiding someone that I love very much... Even tho Adri and I arent really together I still have to hide my friendship and when we do finally get together I dont know how I'm gonna tell my father... I know his reaction and it's gonna be just as bad as it has been... grr... it sucks!
Aw! That's harsh... but maybe your father's reaction will be better? My father never liked my ex-boyfriend and I feared him meeting my new (and current) boyfriend. But my dad actually likes Dillon and I'm not scared anymore! Either way I hope it works out for you!

Let's put it this way... if he kicked me out of my house after meeting Adrian for 5 mins... and threatened to kill the both of us is he caught us together... I dont think he's gonna be too thrilled when he finds out that I'm in love with him...

Thanx, Ari... I've been dealing with it for 6 months... I'll manage... I feel bad for Adrian, tho because he blames himself for all of my problems... he just doesnt understand why I dont blame him... In a way, I thank him... I guess that sounds wierd...
i really want my ears peirched!! my mom keeps saying when im like 16!! im 13 i think that is old anough!!!

I have three tattoos, I got them when I was 19 years old and I regret doing it. I have my ears pierce (four holes on each ear) and I have my belly button pierce too.
BTW my father doesn't know about my tattoos and I'm 24 now. My mom found out when I was 20 and she was really upset with me.

i came in really drunk when i was 18 and my mum put my in the shower to sober up. unfortunatly she found my two tattoos and was really upset.
the worst was when i told her i had my nipple pierced a few years later, she cried! i felt really bad but its my body and my choice. i'd rather she knew than lie to her.
