Hello, my cat Nubbin has me very worried. About 6 weeks ago, he was diagnosed with asthma and is now taking Theodor (sp?) - 1/2 pill/day. He seemed to be better - no more wheezing, etc. But 2 weeks ago he had really bad diarrhea - it looked like butterscotch syrup - and he stopped eating. After 2 days, he seemed better, was eating and having normal bowel movements. Last week, he had another bout of diarrhea and either diarrhea or vomit outside of his litter box - Not sure which as I didn't see him do it and it was really runny but with chunks. He was also sneezing and seemed congested. Now the sneezing has subsided, but he hasn't eaten barely a thing in a week and no bowel movements in a week. I can sometimes get him to eat a couple kernels of food if I feed it to him by hand but he won't eat canned food, human food or treats except maybe 1-2 and he won't really eat anything unless I hand feed him. Also, he has become completely lethargic. He used to be a crazy spaz kitty and now he just wants to sleep or lay around the house. I'm planning to see the vet in a few days . . . anyone have any ideas?
oh - he's about 16 months old and is up-to-date on all shots. Also, he had a sterroid shot 3 weeks ago to treat his asthma - is it possible his recent behavior/sicknesses are side effects?

If your cat has not had a bowel movement in a week, you need to get it to a vet immediately. Please, don't waste time tomorrow asking us how to fix this, and don't wait a couple of days. Your cat sounds gravely ill...going a week without pooping? That is enough to cause a crisis, and constipation alone is enough to cause loss of appetite, the lethargy is sign that things are not well.

Please post back after your vet visit, I hope this will be easily resolved for your kitty,
