Hello! I joined this website because I found it while trying to find information on side effects (if any) of the distemper vaccine. I have 3 cats, a maine coone who will be 15 this year, her name is Samantha, a black and white short haired tabby that has a black "smudge" across her white face, hence her name is Smudge, and then a calico named Little Miss that I adopted at the beginning of the month, and is now expecting to be a momma any day now.
Smudge was the cause for concern. She had her first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine. Hopefully, she will be fine, and the lethargic attitude will pass. Shes usually VERY active, so I was a little concerned. After joining here, I received some reassuring messages that this is probably normal, and feel better about it, but will continue to watch her.

Welcome! I have also heard that cats can not act themselves after vaccines. It is good that you are watching her. You are a good mama!
