my boy cat is trying to mate my other boy cat

help! i don't know what to do. i just bought a male himilayan cat. i already have a male short haired domestic cat. well, long story short, my short haired is trying to breed with my himmy. it is making my himmy's fur really smell awful. I don't even want to pet him. i gave him a bath to try to get rid of the smell, but it is still there. please any help you can give me i would appreciate.

You have to have both of them neutered. They will always do this if you don't. If you have only one neutered, the other might stop the "gay" behavior but will no doubt pee on everything else. If you have trouble affording two neuters try www.friendsofanimals.org. I think a male neuter is $40 through them. Good luck!

I second the above. I've got two 6 month old Burmese brothers, who were trying to get up to all sorts of unmentionables until 2 weeks ago when they were neutered. It stopped immediately and their play has gone back to the "innocent" kitten play of when we first got them, lots of romping around and playfighting, without the sexual behaviour that was happening. They had got a bit smelly as well, they weren't spraying, but would give off a sort of musky odour when they got carried away with doing naughties. Now they've gone back to being sweet smelling little darlings!!

my 5 year old desexed boy is also trying to "mate" my 2 year old entire boy!

Is your Persian for breeding? If not then get him fixed.
