Cats and Baths...

I do not bathe my cats, but they are fascinated with the bathtub. They love to hang out in it and play with the cap for my can of shaving cream. They love to get in it and lick the renmants of my bath water. They love to sit on the edge of the tub and observe me while I take a bath.

Over the past few days, Cougar has made it obvious that the doesn't think much of my bathing procedure. After I have come out of the tub and am sitting around, drying off in my bathrobe, he comes over and starts giving me a proper cat bath.

He is so cute, I'm about to puke...

Some cats are fascinated by running water, even though they may hate baths. My former roommate's two cats used to love my bathtub b/c the water always dripped. Her girl cat, Noname, would spend hours under the faucet, letting the water drip on her paw and then lick it off! She never drank out of her water bowl- she always preferred the bathtub. She would get so mad at me if I left the bathroom door closed overnight!
Cats are an odd lot, huh?
